I am going to be a pin up girl for hallloween and I am wearing a tight dress... i want my waist to look teeny tiny but don't know what to buy besides a corset? I don't want to wear a bulky corset because my dress is thin material and it will look weird... is there anything else out there that i can get from wal mart or target or one of those places that will suck in my pudge around my stomache? haha please help!

Agreed with an above answer about Spanx shapewear - it's popular because it's good! - but you should be able to get less costly versions from Walmart and Target. They look kind of like old granny knickers and are usually skintone but they work by holding you in. The majority won't be visable under your clothing, even a thin dress.
You could try a belt but this could work as a double edged sword - it may pull your waist in but one slip on the design or if you push it too far and everybody will be aware that you're trying to cover up a tummy you don't like!!

A big wide 50s style belt would be your best option. They look great and really cinch your waist in, as well as being part of the pin-up girl style. There are loads out in the shops at the moment - a red patent belt would look great with a pin-up girl outfit.

For minute there I thought you meant actual waste, not 'waist'.
I have always had luck with Great Shapes control top pantyhose. If you don't mind the full leg coverage.
But go into a lingerie shop/department and ask someone. I am sure they will be able to help you find something that will work.

Spanx, but they are pretty expensive($40 I think). They are like a tummy control panty hose type of thing but they dont have the full leg, they are like underwear with a high waist and shorts type legs.

um u kno those things that u like wear under a dress on ur legs...they r like nylon they hav the same things for ur stomach and they r the same color as ur skin u can get them at nordstroms 4 shure mayb jcpenny 2 in the tights section or bras and underware ya what KIM W said they r called spandex!!!!

I definitley agree with the belt idea. Thats very pinup and probably your cheapest solution.
