It seems a great number of you are okay with funding the continued dropping of bombs in Iraq to kill ter'rists, even if a few hundred thousand innocent people are harmed in the process. But, you vehemently oppose a children's healthcare bill that may benefit a few more people than it is intended to benefit . Why is that?

The expansion of the healthcare bill is intended to reach some of those who really needed the coverage of the old bill but were unable to get it.

I didn't say killed, and my hyperbole with bombs refers to the entire invasion and occupation, not just bombs.

By attacking my rhetoric, you avoid the question entirely. How typical. Collateral damage is okay but collateral benefit isn't. Right?

Let's address the exagerations first...

Of the "few hundred thousand" that you are talking about, the VAST MAJORITY were killed by insurgents, not by collateral damage.

Of the "few that may benefit" you are talking about MILLIONS who are either middle to upper middle class and can pay for their own insurance or illegals. Bush talked about a cap of $50,000/year salary and no illegals. WTF is wrong with that?

And BULL. That expansion is intended to take us one step closer to socialism than we already are. Why $83,000? Why up to age 25? And give me ONE EVEN BAD REASON THAT MY TAX DOLLARS SHOULD PROVIDE MEDICAL INSURANCE TO ILLEGALS!!!

So, you are saying that all deaths in Iraq are collateral damage? You are from the Blame America First crowd, aren't you? As for you claiming that anyone is avoiding the question. You are comparing apples to oranges...and not effectively.

Your pretext is asinine. A typical liberal idea. Show me where article 1 section 8 of the constitution lists any kind of health care. Health care of any kind is outside the legal authority of the federal government but I wouldn't expect a liberal to be aware of that. There is no relation between domestic spending and "collateral damage" in Iraq. I don't suppose a liberal would be able to see the difference there either. Of course the amount of damage you cite is completely ridiculous. Ask some of the people you're accusing of all this collateral damage what's really going on over there. I think most will disagree with your assessment. Here's a question for you. Why do you democrats want to turn America into a socialist country and destroy the very thing that made us what we are?

Only thing I agree with you is in your good taste using Republican vs a stereo type.

The SCHIP bill is pork full. Wrong & pls research your error.
Collateral damage is horrific. Worse is the genocide that once
was a Saddam ruled Iraq. Google The Persian Gulf War, bombings of Sudan & Afghanistan. Read the entire text of the link I will provide. As to the current healthcare bill being debated ... it still benefits illegal aliens, adults and taxes smokes up 61 cents?? Benefits those in power and not the poor as you have been deceived. Democrats paid for those ads on TV you watch. Who is to blame for that?

it is nice you admit that is is rhetoric...*lol*...why not just call it what it is? lies....bold face lies.....not exagerations... you exagerate about a fish you almost caught....

the lie you repeat is to destroy our effort against terrorism...if it is repeated enough times...to some people it becomes the truth...no mention of who actually killed those innocent people....it is left to assume it MUST be our military.... once again it is US who is the bad guy.....

you basically phrased the question so that anyone who believes the war in iraq is a necessary evil had to address the wrongness of your statement....you didn't really want the question of giving healthcare away to be addressed...you wanted to insult our military in iraq.....bravo! you succeeded!

now about healthcare....

why is it my problem that some 25 year old doesn't have insurance? what makes that my problem?? when i was 25 i was supporting a family...and YES! i had insurance!

i got a job...i worked...i paid....it was NOT the government's responsibility to pay for children i brought into this world...i am an ADULT....and i take RESPONSIBILITY for myself and my children....

why now, must i pay for other people's children? there is medicaid for those who need....hospitals cannot turn away anyone....and i do pay the price for those "entitlements"...why would i support something that moves us that much closer to socialism?

instead of adding to the problem....and by throwing money at it that is exactly what we are doing....why not try to solve it? hey! here's a novel approach! how about we have people WORK for it? instead of programs the govenment couldn't run in their wildest dreams...why not just teach responsible behavior? make people accountable? i am not talking about those who truly need it...are sick/disabled....i am talking about healthy young people who can work...but won't....

and stop reaching in my pocket to support those who feel "entitled"....

The bill sent to the president to sign was too all-encompassing. It would have removed some kids from the private rolls and put them on the public dole.

When a more well-thought out plan is presented, he will sign it.

There has never been a "Few hundred thousand" killed by American bombs, that's just your own weaselly propaganda, secondly, S-Chip, is for poor children, $83,000 dollars a year up to age 25 hardly quantifies as poor, its socialist expansion, no thank you.

Your just trying to outwit yourself, the question is nothing more than a play on words and not really valid enough to warrant serious consideration.
