Snakes shed every time the body grows. In young snakes, cam be as much as once, every 4-6 weeks. The shed will be 1/3 longer than the snake. If the sheds are in one piece, you can save them and measure each time. Remember, as the snake grows larger, to start feeding a little bit larger prey. Enjoy your python.

My dad has had a Ball Python in our house for roughly 10 years. I'm not observant enough to give you a really precise figure, but It seems like she sheds about once every 1 or 2 months. Here's some advice though: Ball Pythons are really tame pets, but it's usually not a good idea to handle them during their shedding periods because their eye sight if poor at this time (due to skin fragments in their eyes-you'll notice it's eyes will become cloudier). Because of this, they are usually grumpier and have a better chance of bitting. (if they hiss at you-this typically means it's not a good time to handle them) Hope I could help and have fun with your snake! They are great unique pets!
