She gets the house anyway. Sounds like she trying to get his name off of everything to maybe pass the house onto someone else that wouldn't normally get it when she dies.

As a deceased person, he can no longer hold title to anything. His estate holds title. Assuming that he left his estate to your aunt, she will automatically gain title to the house.
