I would make the backround, the actual board I mean, tan (for skin color) and then depending on the person you're doing it on, make the paper green, blue or brown for their eyes and red, black, brown, and yellow for their hair, so that like, if you had a picture of somebody who was blonde with blue eyes, you would put a yellow layer, then a blue layer, then the picture. Does that make sense? Hope this helps!

Hiya,

I'd probably go with geometric shapes too. Simple is the best policy if you want your work to look professional.

No more than three colours should be used, the less the better in my opinion.

I found it interesting that you mentioned your partners and your personalities in this question. Does this really have a bearing? However going on what you said, Oranges and Yellows tend to be colours associated with being happy, fun and joyful. So maybe those would be good?

Personally I use Light and dark green on my project, plain and simple BUT I see myself as a relaxed and healthy and outdoorsy type so that's probably why Green. I use the dark greans as the borders and light green for backgrounds where it's OK not to have the standard white.

As for some sort of front cover the obvious type of thing would be this pic. http://www.uic.edu/classes/orla/orla312/TBBfig_5.jpg

This may also be a good site for research.

Have fun with the project.

Use a soft neutral color to show up any pictures you are posting. You could make a geometric shape border showing right and left views of the same shape by folding different shapes and then cutting them out an putting them together.

I would probably suggest a light colour scheme (pastels or neutrals) and some kind of design with repeating geometric shapes to emphasize the idea of symmety.

Blue and Red - they are very contrasting colors. And where you need to, you can mix them together and use purple.
