I have quite a few things that I *should* do today... the kitchen should be cleaned, the bathrooms could use a good cleaning today...there's laundry to do and dusting and vacumming and well, you know the list... when you decide to clean your house, where is the first place you start?

Hahaha. I was just about to post a similar question. I can't seem to motivate myself today. I've set a deadline half an hour from now LOL and at that point I am just going to get up and make myself get started. I think I am going to start in the kitchen because it is the dirtiest. Once that is over, I will feel much better about finishing the rest. :o) Tonight, the Ohio State game is on so I have to get the house ready by 8pm. GO BUCKS!! :o)

I have a bunch of work too during the weekend. My technique is to start sorting my laundry, ten toss them in the washer. While machine is running I will start cleaning the bathroom, then the kitchen and then grocery late afternoon, I don't go on the peak hours because there's always a long line in the cashier. Prepare lunch and dinner, then at the end of the day I will watch my favorite TV show while folding the laundry.

One day when I just couldn't seem to get started I called my Mom she says the best way to get going is to use the word just on yourself-"I'll just throw a load of clothes in the washer" "I'll just wash the dishes" "I'll just pick up the living room for five minutes"-she said what usually stopped her up was thinking about all the stuff she had to do and once she started breaking things down it was a breeze

Start with the laundry. Once you sort it and start it, the machine does the job.

Clean the bathrooms, next the bedrooms. The kitchen and vacuum last.

Then shower, shampoo and have a drink and a nap.

I think this happens to everybody at one time or another so don't feel like you're in the boat alone!

I always start with the small jobs first -- that way I can look back and see how much I've already accomplished.

I would start by doing a load of clothes, while their running I would start on the kitchen, the throw the clothes in the dryer and start another load to wash,,,,,back to the kitchen,,and so on to the next room,,,,,this should get your engine running,,before long you will be completely out of control,,a cleaning machine,,,roll with it....

That's easy. I dial up High Voltage by AC/DC on the iPod and turn it up loud. You can't just sit there when Angus is playing and Bon Scott is yelling at you!

Ohhhh I have a way better answer *I hope*... start out by turning on some music that really "gets you going"...the rest will fall into place! good luck, and when you get finished just remember how good that feels!

I don't think about it, I just do start to do it, and then I can stop.

I usually start with the bathrooms.
