No they don't have to give you a rise, as long as you get minimum wage there's nothing to say they have to pay you more. Get a union.

Every October the minimum wage goes up, depending on age. 16s 18s then 21s have different wages, we pay all our employees the 21 wage coz they do the same job and just as good so we treat them all the same, I think all employers should do the same, we have only a few employees not like the large firms who can really afford it, plus you get more respect and it`s a happier place to be when all your staff are treated the same

There's no law that I'm aware of. Your employers don't have to give you an annual wage rise, as long as what they're paying you is above the minimum wage.

Employers are not under any duty to raise pay rates other than with regard to paying the national minimum wage, or any play rate that is regularly set by agreement, such as NJC rates for local government workers.

Employers who fail to look after their workers don't deserve to hang on to them.

No. There is no statutory law to enforce a pay rise by an employer

No there is no law other than minimum wage. Best keep quite about things or you will find your minimum wage job being performed by someone in China or India....be thankful that you have a job.

i dont think employers have to increase your salary as long as they are paying you the standard minimum wage. if you are getting paid minimum wage and it goes up your salary has to go up .. if it hasnt and your getting less than minimum wage you have a strong case for tribunal.. check out the free advice on acas

if your between 6 and 14 and working 40-50 hours a week no, if your between 14 and 18 and working more than 60 hours a week you might qualify for a Christmas goose.

It is totally up to the employer. From an economics standpoint, people make exactly equivalent to their output. Perhaps this should tell you something.
