Just listning to the football commentary at the minute and we keep getting updates from some femaile commentator and, well, she really doesn't have a clue. Women aren't interested in football, as they're always saying, so why should they be allowed to commentate on it?

You are very ignorant. You can't lump all women into that category. I've loved football for many years (and BTW. I'm a woman) and there have been more women sports commentators as years go by. Yes, there are women interested in football. Wake up. We're in the 21st century. Women can be just as knowledgable about sports even if they don't play it.

Women watching football...fine.
Women enjoying football...fine.
Women playing football...fine.
Women commentating on football...BIG NO!!!
Also, there's a woman doing a linesmans (or referees assistant as they seem to call them now) job at one of the games today and whilst listening to Radio 5 today, they went over for an update for one of the matches and within seconds she'd made a cockup.
They're even worming their way in to snooker. Only last week I seen a female referee on TV making a really stupid mistake.
One of the players had a choice of several reds and as he played, the cue ball hit a red and the female ref said "Foul, and a miss!"
Within a split second she realised she'd cocked up and just smiled and cringed with embarrassment.
The commentators tried to make excuses for her but off air they were probably calling her a stupid cow.
Keep women away from predominately male sports....even though I love them.
I know I'll get lots of thumbs down for this but who cares......

Lots of people don't like certain announcers. You just seem to notice it more because she is a woman. Everyone thinks they know more than the commentators, when most of the time, they don't. Lots of woman are interested in football, so stop being so sexist and get used to it. You are stereotyping a whole gender just because you don't like one announcer, and that is ridiculous.

Some women are interested in football. My Nan is a huge fan. There are even women football teams. The reason women should be allowed, is because this is a free country and we are all equal.

What's the difference if the words come from a female mouth or a male mouth. Are you sexist by any chance? I love football.

I think women should be allowed to be commentators, I'm all for equality! But that one on Match Of The Day is bloody awful! They could have picked someone better than her for the job.

What gives you that idea? There's many women out there that are more passionate about football than men. It's the 21st century, drop your sexism. Now as for that commentator, well maybe she specifically sucks at commenting on football, but you can't classify every woman out there because of one person.

You are wrong on women not being interested in football. I love it and so do a lot of my female friends. We get more excited about our teams than our husbands do.
