Yes, of course there is.

Scientists do not support an idea with overwhelming consensus if there is no solid evidence. Say what you will about scientists, they *live, eat, and breathe* evidence.

People who insist that the over 95% to 99% of the world's scientists ... that's tens of thousands of people with PhD.s in all branches of science, for over 150 years ... would *ALL* agree upon an idea without solid evidence, have some sort of deep-seated *contempt* for scientists as human beings, as professionals, and for science and the scientific method itself. These people would have you believe that all these scientists are either universally *stupid*, or universally *dishonest* (participating in a massive and deliberate fraud involving tens of thousands of people for no reason at all).

You didn't actually ask for that evidence. But if you did, I have written up a summary of the 10 main categories of evidence.
1. Evolution (including speciation) reproduced in lab or documented in nature.
2. Fossil evidence.
3. Genetic evidence.
4. Molecular (DNA) evidence (distinct from genetic).
5. Evidence from proteins.
6. Vestigial and atavistic organs.
7. Embyology.
8. Biogeography (the location of *types* of species on the planet).
9. Homology.
10. Bacteriology, virology, immunology, pest-control.

Of course there is - the idea was developed to explain the evidence, after all, not the other way around. However, it's every person's God-given right to ignore anything he or she doesn't want to believe, so feel free to join the Creationists and claim that the sky is green, water is dry and there is no evidence to support the idea of evolution.

Not at all. Scientists just love to make up fairy tales and force our children to learn it to destroy belief in god. Didn't you see The Flintstones. Excellent documentary of pre-historic life.
All their so-called "theories" are just pathetic guesses with no empirical evidence to back them. Who has ever seen a photon or an electron? These people need to stop turning our children into godless hethens. We should stay cowering in fear of our sky daddy and renounce all possibilities that could weaken our irrational foundation in the bible.

As T. Wallace has said, “A major reason why evolutionist arguments can sound so persuasive is because they often combine assertive dogma with intimidating, dismissive ridicule towards anyone who dares to disagree with them. Evolutionists wrongly believe that their views are validated by persuasive presentations invoking scientific terminology and allusions to a presumed monopoly of scientific knowledge and understanding on their part. But they haven’t come close to demonstrating evolutionism to be more than an ever-changing theory with a highly questionable and unscientific basis. (The situation isn’t helped by poor science education generally. Even advanced college biology students often understand little more than the dogma of evolutionary theory, and few have the time [or the guts] to question its scientific validity.)”
