I collect cookbooks. I collect those like a person would collect stamps or coins. I own over 2400 and I actually have a database that they are all in. This database downloads a pic of the book and if there is not one available, I scan it. It took me months to get everything in and now I have a device where I point it on the ISBN number on the back and it puts the information in without me having to do it by hand.
I have had custom built shelves put in for these books and actually there is still not enough room. I live in a small condo. When I moved it probably cost me $300 more alone for just moving the books.
