I thought I'd got away with it but apparently they were hidden under my bump and so that's why I didn't see them! It was right at the end, about 8 months or so.
I don't think there is any product that is worth using. Nothing will really get rid of stretchmarks so you might as well just celebrate them as something beautiful instead & stop wasting your money & energy worrying about them.
I LOVE my stretchmarks! Every time I see them I think of my beautiful son and I smile with gratitude!
Also, stretchmarks work as a jerk-o-meter. If you meet a guy who is turned off by them then thank God you have them as otherwise you might not have known what a jerk he was till it was too late!

With my first child, i only got stretch marks on my breasts, and that is when they quadrupled in size after the milk came in, toward the end of pregnancy (Small A to Double D, my husband was thrilled, you can imagine!). I used cocoa butter, but really, I don't think it makses a big difference. i think it is about your genetics and your overall skincare and health more than what cream you use. I had no stretch marks anywhere else, and I believe it is because great skin runs in my family, I kept weight gain at a slow and steady pace, did not gain too much, exercised, drank fluids like CRAZY, and exfolliated. I did this before, during, and after pregnancy. I am pregnant again, and still use cocoa butter, better safe than sorry of course, and so far no sign of stretchmarks, and I am half way through month 5. Just take care of yourself, and know that the marks will eventually fade. Mine on my breasts did. Along with their size :(.

I am almost 31 weeks with my first and so far i have no stretchmarks,(i am really hoping it stays like this) I have been using Palmer's cocoa butter formula for the past 2-3 months, as bump was very small before that. I use it on my stomach and hips and it seems to work.

The midwife actually remarked on the fact that I had NO stretchmarks on my due date. However, they came when i eventually gave birth-no getting away from them I am afraid, you either will get them or you won't. Keep as moisturised as you can, Palmers cocoa butter is supposed to be really good. Body Shop body butters are rich and creamy aswell so if you can bear having a bit of a greasy bump, I would expect them to work really well.

I am 29 weeks and have just got them now. I have used palmers butter every day, once in the morning and once at night, and I do mean EVERYDAY and I still got stretchmarks. They're very small on my tummy and hips, but I dont think there is really much you can do. They will eventually fade and blend in so dont worry too much if you get them. Just keep moisturized and try not to scratch.

Hiya, I'm 35 weeks today and have been using Bio oil religously twice a day (morning and night), plus the occassional use of Palmers Stretch Mark cream as well on days when my skin felt drier than usual. My mum got really bad stretch marks with me and I have them just from growing and putting on weight during my early teens. But so far (touch wood) I've been able to avoid getting any on my belly or anywhere else from the pregnancy!

I started getting stretch marks by 3 months (with both babies) and all the creams I tried failed. I have huge stretch marks all over me. But I consider them as the medals of motherhood, they show how my body change and adapted in order to provide the best I could for my children and I don't even think about them now.
Most of the pregnancy books will tell you that the creams will not help. It all has to do with the elasticity of your skin and that is mostly based on genetics. What you can do to best help your skin (and you and your baby) is to stay well hydrated by drinking lots of water (cruel, I know when the baby is sitting on your bladder). That helped some.
Good luck and congratulations!

I didnt until the last few weeks. I put lotion on my belly every night. I just used regular lotion, anything I had around. I think I got more stretchmarks around my belly button from the csection, but even those have faded drastically over the past months.
