First of all, you count your cycle length based on the FIRST day of your period, regardless of the heaviness of the flow. So you are on day 21, then.

Second of all, women can NOT become pregnant at any point during a cycle (I'm SO SO tired of hearing this). A woman can only become pregnant while ovulating, and sex up to 5-7 days prior to ovulation can also lead to pregnancy because the sperm can live that long in a woman's body. (Ovulation occurs in almost every woman 12-16 days BEFORE the next period). But, since you have irregular periods, there's really no way to know if you are likely to be fertile right now or not. The majority of women will have already ovulated by cycle day 21, but if your cycles can sometimes be 30+ days long, then there's no telling if you are past your fertile point. Take a pregnancy test about two weeks from now if you haven't gotten your period.

if you know the dates that you had your period the month before (even if your irrregular) it'd be a little more exact, BUT, based on a regular 28 day cycle you ovulated somewhere between the 16th and 21st and if you're on a 28 day cycle you'd be starting on the 3rd ov November.

Chances are less likely that you're pregnant with this math, but because you're periods are irregular you can't be certain that with these dates, and odds.

unproctected sex=pregnancy

that part is the simple math. until you know for sure when AF comes again that you're NOT pregnant, consider and treat yourself as if you are. (it's a healthy lifestyle anyway. no drugs, no alcohol, no smoking)

then if you're not pregnant ask your doctor for birth control. For one it'll help your periods become more regular (even after stopping it) and it will do a big part in preventing pregnancy, but it's NOT a 100% either. abstinence is best when trying to avoid pregnancy.

A woman can become pregnant on any day of her cycle... sure, the chances are lower in the situation you're talking about, but there are no truly "free" days.

However, since things are irregular for you and it hasn't been that long since the last one, you should probably wait and see for a little while longer.

If you had unprotected sex, then the odds are good that you could be pregnant. You will likely get a better answer if you take a home test
