Dude, get a shovel and clear driveways for old ladies in your neighborhood, Rake and pickup leafs, mow lawns, I once knew of a fellow who painted house numbers on the curbs in front of houses to earn money for college expenses. My point is there is a lot of creative ideas you can do to become a self-employed and keep your own schedule. rather than left to the mercy of a manager at a fast food restaurant.

I'm in the same situation as you are... well the age and looking for a non fast food job part. I asked a similar question not too long ago and the answers weren't really that helpful. I suggest looking around your community and seeking out other jobs. I would look into something like working at your local library or maybe a movie theatre selling tickets. You could even start your own bussiness like walking dogs or cooking or something like that. I know that this isn't the answer you were looking for, because I sure didn't get any answer that I loved before, but hopefully this will get your creativity running and you'll be able to find a job that you love! Good Luck! All the best in your job hunting :) !!!

Most restaurants won't hire anyone under the age of 18 to do cook or do kitchen work because of the fact that you're working with food. Some Wendys might have different policies and if you do get a job at one just don't expect to be getting top dollar. You'll probably be sweeping floors and taking out the trash.
Additionally, cashiers are usually 18+ so it wouldn't surprise me if they'd turn you down if you asked for a cashiering job.

Look all their phone numbers up on the web, and call them all and ask. Or, ask other kids in your class where they work.
