This is a much larger question than can be dealt with in this forum. The major breeders in Singapore use hormone chemistry to stimulate spawning. Hobby aquarists have successfully spawned Neons,but it ain't easy. Your endeavor will involve duplicating the conditions of water and fish that are found in the Amazon Basin and bringing them together at just the right time. Also raising the minuscule fry will be a challenge in itself.Hint: First foods are very, very difficult.

There are different ways you can try and breed. The best way would probably a species tank with tons of them and try to mimic their surrounding.
