You can either believe in this life or the after life. If you believe that there is something after death, then this planet is just a transition to a different place. Earth becomes like a bus station to Heaven. If you believe that the Earth is the most important thing, you want your bones to nourish the earth and live like this life is all that you get.
if there was no purpose in your creation, you can find purpose with your mind...that is the power of intelligence...you can either do good things and devote your self to protecting other life or be selfish and let others do it. You can be a destroyer or a creator....
As for me, the story of Heaven is just a fantasy. Sure energy is not destroyed when you die. It just isn't in the same form, it just goes to other life forms, like meat into a lions belly. Have you ever tried to grow a lawn...and you don't water it well enough and a few weeds are all you get at first? The weeds get a foothold and provide a tiny bit of shade to allow for a fraction less evaporation, which allows for another weed (or even a single blade of grass to sprout)...the yard slowly begins to build patches (or colonies) of life...they spread and finally become a single connected larger multi-species organism....you try to kill all the weeds, but they never quite get eradicated......Do the weeds have purpose?

To grow, reproduce, & die. That is the purpose combine that with misery and suffering than some people have to endure then personally I think it's a complete and utter waste of time.
We kill animals indiscrimently which leads to extinction. We kill our fellow human beings. Why on earth do we feel we have the right to do this goodness knows. Some humans cause so much misery to others and are rotten to the core and yet are allowed to remain alive even though society knows full well it would be better off without them.

Dear friend,
If every line on your palm has a meaning, if every human being is different from the other and if every creature on earth as well as plant life has a meaning then I surely think that man also has a purpose for coming into the world.
God has created this world with a purpose and he wanted man to govern it and so he made man in His own image.man is higher than all creation in this world and God has given him power over every living creature. If God wanted only one single man to rule the earth, would it be possible?
Man's multiplication on earth has put him in different places to take care of his own vicinity.thus we are here to contribute to the society in which we live, our job and in turn dedicated to the city and nation at large.
So we are here with an important office to do our best for this world.

If you can imagine running a continuous running race and you have , simply, to pass the baton to the next, after running your section of the race in the best possible manner. Though you are not seing the Finish line yourself, nevertheless your running well is equally important for team to win.
Our lives are like the race . we didnot enter the race by our own volition. We were entered into the race and told to run.If you can imagine the baton ( the constant in the race) to be your soul, you can say you carry the soul in the race and simply handover the soul to the next body ( runner) . So, the purpose of the life is to carefully handle the baton ( soul) , run a healthy , happy race and the sould gets passed on to the next body. As long as the soul is kept good and healthy the race will be that much shorter and the winning of the race is akin to joining the creator and not run anymore races .

The wisest man that ever lived had all the money, sex, pleasure in life. At the end of it he came to this conclusion: fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Thank God he is merciful.

There is no purpose of human life for being on earth; and of that of ourselves for being here on earth.
It is just that god had a purpose of his own; and for which he not only gave life to us; but also a chance, opportunity and medium of birth, of living life, and a chance of a life time to act now and to prove the worthiness of ourselves to live, to work, to act and perform actions of self; but as the creations of his self only.
Knowing this; we are left with no other choice but to know the purpose of god himself to give life and birth to us and a chance of a life time to us.
Once we will know that we will then have to do no other work but the work of his self only and there will never ever be questions but answers only; and a jolly good life
We can know this only by being with him only; and only by empowering and enabling ourselves suitably for developing the abilities of listening to the name and the word of his self only, and only through the command and will of his self only; instead of any other.
Purity and clarity of the abilities of self to see, hear, taste, smell and know are of utmost importance; together with firmness of our own resolves and free will of our own selves and the abilities of his self only to guide and drive us to know him righteously. and his purposes truthfully.
