Obviously expensive, no matter the TYPE of fence. After installing Miles of it in my time; it also depends on type. Cattle/Livestock fencing is likely the least expensive at approx. $1 per foot on a usual 50 ft. roll; 4 ft high.

Horses are used to rail or plank usually and that would likely cost more than metal/ mesh type fencing. Then there is the issue of a post every 8 ft.; the labor involved; and a time frame you want in order to complete the task.

I was born and raised on a farm; 100 acres; all fenced; not all pasture; and we had livestock. In your case; and as others have suggested; you need to more strictly define HORSE areas; with fence. pasture fence can be an acre? (NO stock of any value should be allowed to explore 80 acres on their own; and likely wouldn't anyway)....Or what you consider a viable grazing/ exercising area for whatever number of horses you plan. WORK WITH is something you neglected to detail; but a "RING" might not be as large as1/4 of a football field, and even that can be rail or plank with posts.

With all due respect; and not knowing at all the 80 acres; I suggest you investigate locally. I have to assume you have outlets local that supply various fencing materials, and to assume a price here; for us; isn't likely to be very accurate.

I won't do the math for you; but certainly someone local to you; in the business of farming/ Horses/ fencing; will probably be able.

I like horse wire with 2x6 boards top and bottom. This is one of the most expensive fences. The wire runs about $1 a foot for 4 ft wire and around $1.50 for 5 foot. Posts run around $8 to $10 each. Electric tape isn't bad and you can get solar powered chargers. You have to keep checking your fence and be sure its powered. If the horses find out it isn't working they will go through it. The cheapest is barbless horse wire. It is put up the same as barbed wire. The drawback is that the horses lean on it. You can put it up along with a couple of electric lines to stop the leaning.

100 ft of fence will run you around $100,
not counting the posts, an acre is about 160 yards wide, thats $480 just for 1 acre
one side, think smaller, like a 50 ft square area,

To much. Build a smaller corral. Find a local saw mill for the best prices on wood.
