Recently ... when I was out paying bills, I returned to my home, felt someTHING was wrong.
I was right ... I called the Police, and ...
when I walked into my home, I found out that MY Ex (from a short disaster of a marriage ... he is an abusive, violent sociopath who 'thinks' I still (somehow) 'owe' him a living) ONCE AGAIN BURGLARIZED my HOME in August 2006 ...
How do I know it was this ex? He WROTE his NAME on the Rubbermaid bins (that I use to sort things for donation) and lined them up in my dining area ... damaged the walls and other portions of the house too.
I filed the police report, I demanded prosecution ... but, as usual (Even with Protective Orders in place over the past 2 decades) ... all this is USELESS ... Ex-es like this are NEVER prosecuted like they SHOULD be.

While at a theme park in Dallas many years ago, as we were leaving the grounds, a teenage boy ran up in front of my 10 year old daughter and aimed a gun in her face. Everything stopped. There was no noise, and everything moved in slow motion. It turned out to be a realistic looking toy gun, but I didn't know that until I had knocked my daughter to the ground while throwing her behind me. After all the hoopla was over, no one went to jail and no one was sued, but I am sure in today's world that would be the result. For myself, I have never been so frightened, and probably never will be again.

There have been so many. The one that stands out in my mind this second is when our car's brakes went out at the top of a long, steep hill, and we wound up crashing & our car flipping over several times. That was just one, but my third real traumatic event (I was 11 at the time).

When my 2 year old daughter was in the hospital with pnumonia. I have 4 kids and never with any of them had to have a hospital stay, expect my youngest. Scared the crap out of me.

When I accidentally set myself on fire. I didn't think I was ever going to get myself put out. I burned my hands and stomach badly.
