Either you already know the answer and have opened this question so others can be set straight...or you really need to do some research.
The area was inhabited by both Arabs and Jews.
Prior to the UN divisions into separate lands, this area was the Palestine territory of the British Empire
This name the British called the area was a resurrection of the name given it by the Romans when they occupied the land.
The UN cleared the way for an equitable distribution of the land between the Arab and Jewish inhabitants to each establish a nation
The Jewish inhabitants moved forward with their opportunity, and have built a thriving nation which has since attracted many Jews from throughout the world.
The Arab inhabitants have squandered their opportunity to build a nation...and have set themselves up as permanent "victims"

Some are right, some are wrong, some are ignorant.

True, it was the British who owned Palestine. True, they gave a portion of Palestine (which was always called that for thousands of years), to Israel. They gave it to them after WWII when unfortunately no country wanted the amount of Jews coming out of Germany. (all those that say read history, read all the history not just the words from American history books)

However, give and inch take a yard set in and the Israels put the Palestine people in refugee camps and have NEVER LET THEM OUT. So, the PLO came to be.

Since Israel is a center point in that area, we befriend them so we have a place in that area. Their nuclear weapons and guns are supplied by us.

Before WWII, all the people there muslim and jew (all arabs) lived peacefully together.

The reason people of the area, mostly Muslim, dislike us is because of our support for Israel. There are more Jews in Florida and NY than in Israel, btw.

Now, If I were to write a Bible, I would choose me as the chosen people too, wouldn't you? Using that as the reason for the land to be theirs is ludicrous. It was land lived in by many people and religions. All religions come from that area and should be International Land.

Right now it is the Jews that have the land so it is probably better right now not to kick anyone out.

Whether the creation of Israel was a good idea or not has no bearing on whether Israel should be allowed to exist or not (since the people who created Israel are long since dead and so are the people who were kicked out).

"The land formerly known as Palestine."

The region formerly known as Palestine was formerly known as Israel and only renamed to Palestine by the Romans in order to offend the Jews who lived there

Maybe you have never read a history book but the Jews have been continuously living there for over three thousand years

How long have arabs or muslims been living there? I'm thinking..... nowhere near as long

The same way I think the US belongs to Americans! They took it, and they ain't givin' it back! Tell the Palestinians to take Iraq, or Jordan, or Syria or SOMEWHERE ELSE, because the Israeli's are planning on leaving in the near future. So I guess it really begs the question, who cares who owned it first?

God had a covenant with Abraham, who's parents were idol worshipers. Upon God's calling and Abraham's faith, he and Sarah his parents homeland and followed the God. God rewarded Abraham for faithfulness by giving him a son (even in Abraham and Sarah's advanced age) Isaiah. Isaiah, married Rebecca and had 2 sons. Esau and Jacob. Jacob tricked and old Isaiah and stole the birthright from Esau.

The land of Canaan was named Israel (after Jacob) because Jacob wrestled with an Angel of the Lord and defeated him. The Angel of the Lord then unhitched Jacob's hip bone.

Abraham was promised the position the Father of the Jews and his nation was names after his Grandson.

The present area of Greater Israel was taken largely by force. Thousands of Palestinians were driven out of their homes and in 1948-1949 over 400 Arab villages were destroyed and the Arab inhabitants either massacred outright or driven off the land. The aggression, genocide and occupation of Arab lands that began as much as 70 years ago is the cause for the present hatred against the jews. Prior to the Zionist incursion and occupation, the jews and Arabs in the region had lived side-by-side in peace for hundreds of years.

In the late 1800s the population of the area was 80% Arab, 10% Christian, and about 10% jews. The jews had never been a large percentage of the population until the influx of Russian and European jews during and after WW2.
