Back in 1969 , 9 years after I had left school, who should be the midwife at the birth of my third child? One of my old class mates, Yvonne! I was pretty embarassed but she soon put me at ease.

It wasn't a class mate, but once when I had a catheter fitted I went into retention and the emergency service sent out a nurse to change the catheter and it was the practice nurse who was my next door neighbour but also a very good friend. After the initial surprise I was only too glad of her help as anyone who has been in retention will know how agonising that is.

I took a friend of mine to a drug and alcohol rehab center after she got into some trouble. I was setting in the waiting room waiting on her. When a lady stepped out of the office and I realized that I went to school with her. I spoke to her and very quickly let her know that I was there waiting on a friend that I brought there. I was very embarrassed as I have never done drugs at all.

Threw out childhood and up, I have seen how drugs and alcohol has destroyed relationships and marriages.

When I was an EMT we were called to a motor vehicle accident. The driver (my classmate) was drunk and struck a police officer vehicle while he was in it writing a ticket to a speeder. That was no fun.

Edit: I got stopped for speeding once and the officer was an old friend. (not a classmate). No I didn't get a ticket but that was weird. I never would have thought he'd become a police officer.

A few years ago, I bumped into a boy I used to go to school with, but I looked really awful! I was on my way back from the chemist to get cold remedy medicine, as I had a really nasty cold, my hair was a mess and I was dressed in really old tracksuit bottoms and trainers! It was quite embarassing as I hadn't seen him for years and years!

I ran into a girl I went to school with who was a real b**ch in school. She was so nasty and so stuck on herself.

Fifteen years later there she was sitting on a bench in the mall dressed like a bag lady, three grubby little kids screaming and kicking. She had a huge black eye, her hair was greasy and dirty - I was shocked, and pretended I didnt see her, didnt want to embarass her.

Later on a friend told me she was married to a very abusive man and that she had a really bad drinking problem. :-(

I didnt like her in school but NO ONE deserves this kind of life, it was so sad.

That wasn't really that bad. That was her job. It's like a doctor or a nurse helping you. They don't discuss things like that...as a rule.
No, I never had an embarrassing situation with a class mate.

I was at the courthouse one day (on a traffic ticket- but he didn't know that) when I ran into one of my old high school buddies. He said "ah, Nik, just like always. In trouble, huh? haha" and said he had to hurry, he was only there for car registration.

I didn't have time to explain myself!

I got dentures at thirty.... there I am, wheeling my three little ones around in a WalMart type store when I see a man coming towards me, a boy in highschool on whom I'd had a terrible crush..... delighted to see him, I smiled and greeted him happily.... we talked, I showed him my family and before he left, I said "I'm really surprized that you recognised me" and he said "I could never forget your smile.. that's how I was sure it was you!"... and my middle child (!!) pops out with.... "That's not HER smile... she just got DENTURES!!".... ever have the urge to.......XXXXXXXXXX.......*smile*........
