After my gf cheated on me behind my back.....and i would have to say i am loving the single life but still mourning my loss. How is your life going?

Sorry about your Girlfriend ... that is horrible (and it is a GOOD thing to break it off with a cheater)
ME??? I am an Empty-Nesting Retiree who has been SINGLE Most of her LIFE (well, being Retired Military has a LOT to do with it too!)
Now ... FINALLY .. the last year I've been FREE .. no kids, no worries about where and what those teens are up to (Believe me, being a Long Term Single Parent of TWO Teenagers IS a big, big challenge .. and lots of worry) ...
SO ... my LIFE has been getting BETTER and BETTER ...
And ... this summer ... I FINALLY met a kind, gentle, caring and Loving MAN ... someone who likes what I like, is intelligent and humorous .. and we will be able to spend the holidays together this year!
So although it may seem like a loss now .. and you don't know how long you'll be single ... I can say this from my Experience (and I am the survivor of a short disaster of a marriage to an abusive, violent sociopath) ...
DO NOT SETTLE! WAIT ... and if you have to wait for years ... just don't settle for the first person to come along! The special someone I am dating now ... I waited a couple of decades for .. and believe me, he is DEFINITELY worth the wait!

She might still call. If not I think it's fine to go back to the restaurant if that's what you would normally do but don't bring it up to her again. You already made the first move, if she lost it she will mention it, if she is interested. She is a waitress and being nice is her job, so I wouldn't count on her liking you because she smiles a lot and is very nice to you. I have taken guys phone numbers before, thanking god that they didn't ask for mine, I hate giving out a fake number. I was always really polite and probably acted like I would call them but had no intention of doing so. By the way I hope she does call you, you seem nice! :)

Move over I am in the same boat u are. Don't get me wrong I love being free but the other day I went to a concert & there were all these couples and I was just so melancholy :)
