Hey guys yesterday, friday october 26, I was messing around and acidentally punched my friend's knee. It was a very hard punch and when it happend it felt really weak for a moment then I applied ice immediately for quite a while. Anyways, right now it's not swollen, and i can't see any bruise on the outside but when I close my hand it feels very stiff and the joints are very sore throughout my whole hand.

I have a hockey game tomorrow and was wondering what I need to do should I move it a lot or use ice/heat or what?

I will take any advice please help :)

try alternate heat and ice. Stick it in ice water than switch to warm water for 5 min back and forth. It's supposed to improve circulation. sounds like you jammed some joints there

I injured my elbow once only to learn that I damaged the bursa,
a fluid filled sack in the joint. It was unbelievably painful. I actually believed it was broken.

You might have bruised the joints. I would ice it twenty minutes at a time all through the day. Take Ibuprofen to relieve the inflammation and swelling.

Good luck.

ice only stops the bruising . if its muscular or joint pain you need to do the oppisite and bring the blood to the surface by applying heat

i think u pulled a mustle between joints. keep a heating pad or a warm cloth around ur hand and it should improve. good luck 2morrow at ur game!

i think cata is right.....but definetly don't strictly keep ice on it, or you could make things worse; alternate between the ice/heat (heating patch, possibly?)
