Your ancestors were willing to sacrifice thier life’s and their children’s life because they were angry about taxes.
Dose money has more value in the American culture then human life?
And it seems that it did not change in the last war…
So the cause for the American Revolution is not freedom from tyranny but the welfare of their pockets. To fight taxes you don’t need to go to war… and besides money is not every thing!

Well, slow up here. I think that you may be trivializing this a bit. What our 'ancestors' did was rebel against taxes with no representation in English parliament. In other words, the revolution was against exploitation not spending. The colonial Americans were paying excessive taxes to a government that made it's decisions based on the welfare of British citizens while viewing them as nothing more than a source of revenue.

The ironic thing here, if you ask me, is that we as Americans now care so little about exercising the right to vote. Which I think may speak to the heart of what yo are talking about here. Do people realize that there are ways to reform tax laws? If they do then the numbers I've seen about voter turnout don't reflect it.

You have skimmed through American history and come up with what you think is profound understanding. It is neither profound, nor understanding. The American revolution came about because the people in the colonies (at the time) were being governed by an entity thousands of miles away with no one to represent them or their concerns and needs. Yes, taxation had something to do with it. England was sucking all the resources and wealth out of the colonies, and not putting anything back into them. England did nothing to improve the lives of the colonists, or foster growth and expansion, except to benefit England. So, no matter what the colonists did, or how hard they worked, no good was ever realized from their efforts. If that is not tyranny, then I need to know your definition. No, money is not everything. But after your labor makes the money, then you (or your representative, if we are talking government) should have a say in how that money is used.

um..are they even teaching you anything in school now-a-days? It wasnt just about taxes. It was about Taxation without representation. Meaning, the colonies were being taxed and they had no say where their tax money went.

Most things Americans do are for money, and they paint it with a thick coat of sanctimony to make themselves feel superior.
