Our family wakes up for Suhoor for every day of Ramadan (except if we are travelling a long journey or other unavoidable reasons). We usually have left overs from dinner or sometimes, my mother may put up something light and warm. But the most important thing is that we ALWAYS, always start with dates (for both Suhoor and Iftar). Then my mother insists that we drink something warm before eating (malt drink, coffee etc). I like bread (any kind) for Suhoor. Rice is a bit too heavy. And I follow the Sunnah, to delay the Suhoor as late as possible before Fajr prayers and to hasten the Iftar and pray Maghrib. These are the Sunnah that my family has folllowed for a very long time. edit: Oh I absolutely adore humus!!! ma3 khubizz lubnaniyyeh!! and laban!!!! :P

I'm Old School!! I have a Body Clock, that will not allow me to sleep late. That comes from years of being up for work at a very early hour. Wish I could sleep late!!

My dog, Sadie, is my hearing dog. She lightly paws at me when the alarm goes off. If I don't have it set ; she wakes me up at the appointed time anyway. lol Love her deeply.

One of my kids or the dog. My spouse is so quiet in the morning I never even know they've left for work, quiet as a mouse that one.
