Slightly over half of the time an identical twin will share the same sexual orientation.

In a 1991 study, it was shown that 52% of identical (monozygotic) twins of homosexual men were likewise homosexual. Just as identical twins do not share the same fingerprints, they do not always share the same sexual orientation although the likelihood that they do is more than double the rate of 22% for non-identical (dizygotic) twins

studies have been done and statistically when one twin is gay there is only a 20% chance that the other will also be gay. This is one of the reasons that science says that being gay is NOT genetic as , were it genetic ,both twins would be gay 100% of the time as they have exactly the same DNA. Or to put it in other words the odds of being gay being genetic are 4-1 against.

Yes, the other twin can be straight. Our sexuality is not solely based on genetics. With regards to your final two questions, I have seen both. I have seen identical twins in which each was gay, and identical twins in which one was straight and the other gay. I have also seen twins in which one was gay and the other was bi. Sexuality is complicated and is influenced by a variety of factors, both intrinsic and extrinsic. Factors with possible correlations include genetics, family dynamics, experience, exposure, actions, thoughts, and values. These are only a few examples of the influencial factors one might take into consideration. The following, while seemingly unrelated to your question, is an example that demonstrates the complex nature of sexuality. I once worked with a person who struggled with homosexual thoughts. It was a struggle because he believed homosexuality was wrong. As a result, he chose not to act on these desires. Without speculation as to right or wrong, this person demonstrated that an individual, due to personal values one can control behaviors despite, what the individual labeled as, the presence of conflicting thoughts.

i know 2 identical twins who are gay.... chances of both twins being gay are pretty high, i would say. true, their personalities may differ but when it comes down to feelings and emotions regarding things in general? it pretty much goes towards the same direction. that was what i told anyway.
eh.... not too sure about whether they play with each other or not, but i'm pretty sure brotherly love doesn't mean incest. ewwww. then again, nowadays, u'll never know.

From what I remember from Psych 101, the chances of that are higher in identical twins. (But not conclusively or definitely.) In fraternal twins, the chances of that happening are the same as it happening to non-twins brother and sister.
I suggest you contact the American Psychological Association to get their studies on it.

Identical twins might look the same but their personalities can be totally different.

One may be gay and the other may be straight - or not as the case may be.

I'm friends with a pair of twins. One's a lesbian, and one's straight.

The straight one would be totally OK with being gay... she's really into gay rights and everything... so it's not like she's afraid of coming out. I honestly don't think she's a closet case.

Both happen. There are twins that are both gay, and twins where only one is gay.

Have I seen any in person? No, but I watched a documentry on it before.

Also, I am gay and so is my brother and my aunt, but we are not twins. And a friend of mine and her sister are both bi, and they are not twins either, but they are still related.
