when i woke up this morning and turned on my aquarium light i saw a little mit of movment out of the corner of my eye. it took me a little while to find what it was but once i did, it was a baby fishy. the babies are all black so im assuming they came from my black mollies as they are my only black fish. i would like to try keeping them but i need advice. i have already moved them from my main tank with the other fish to a back up tank. the big thing is what do i feed them. there obviously to small for the blood wormsand frozon breine shrimp i feed the others. will flake food be good or do i need to go get something for them? as babies are there any other needs that they have?
thanks in advance for all your help.

Your pet store should carry specialty foods designed for fry. They need smaller foods that they can handle. Plus they will require more frequent feedings than the adult fish.

I wouldn't really waste my money with brine shrimp. I would just try and crush the flakes in small amounts and feed it to the fry. You should change the water about 10% everyday. Also, try and transfering the baby fish into a shallower container so it doesn't waste all the energy swimming all over the tank for food.

Try to have some left over food on the bottom so it can eat anytime.

If you watch flake food closely, it falls into the water in very small particles which the fish can eat.

When I had mollie babies they lived and grew on Wardley flakes.

A book I read said to squeeze boiled egg yolk through a cheese cloth into the water for baby fish, but I have not tried this.

Brine Shrimps could be good. If you are looking for other alternatives, try very crushed powdered flakes.
