Just a little thing called the wheel. The Mesopotamians where the first known civilization to use the wheel. The Code of Hammurabi was believed to be the first set of laws. Irrigation is also a very huge advancement they seem to have contributed.
They were also in a prime position to obtain knowledge from all the known world IE- China, India, Africa, and Europe. They collected this knowledge and when the Crusades punctured deep into the Arabic world, the Europeans had a flood of knowledge to get them out of the dark ages.
The people of the middle east also built great monuments such as Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Lighthouse of Alexandria, and Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus. Thats 5 of 7 Ancient Wonders of the World.
There are also MANY MANY things I haven't mentioned but these are the ones that stick out in my mind of being great.

According to some historians, many things we take for granted, including astronomy, mathematics and medicine. These things were forgotten in the Dark Ages AFTER the crusades where the Islamic influences were wiped out. The age of englightenment followed when Middle Eastern science and culture was rediscovered.
Of course rediscovery of Roman and Greek culture played a big part too.

They have contributed hospitals, "Arabic numerals" (our numbers) Arabian cultures were the first to have any writing of the sort. Arabian people have contributed jihad, and fostered terrorist (not like other places don't). They invented social services. I think there are a lot more things that they contributed then people think!

Gees. You need to read a little. They advance math way beyond what Europe was stuck at. They contributed 3 of the world's major religions -- so, okay, they all suck, but a lot of people follow them. Trade and business practices come straight from Arabia. There are a lot more. Hey, if you dislike them, I can see that, even share it, but let's keep it honest. They made some MAJOR contributions, even if they have outlived their purpose on the planet.

To set the record straight, the Arabs DID NOT contribute to mathematics. Whatever maths they knew they learned it from the Indians, trigonometry and all.
Proof: 1.Their 'arabic' numerals go from left to right while the rest of their language goes from right to left. Sanskrit, and all Indian languages, on the contrary, is always written from left to right.
2. The Arabic word for maths is 'hindisat', the Arabic word for India is 'hind'. What came from Hind became known as Hindisat.
The Arabs were mere intermediators in the knowledge flow from India to Europe. The numbers are known as the Hindu-Arabic numerals only because the Europeans learned it all from the Arabs.
So, what have the Arabs contributed to the advancement of mankind?....thinking... bellydancing? Camel riding?
Squandering petrodollars on fancy islands and creating snow in the desert?

to respond to this question, you need to assume that we are headed contained in the right direction. per chance the acceptable contribution will be to get rid of human beings from this planet in the previous we ruin it fully? So, who've executed the most to reason climate change / strip aspects / reason political unrest and so on, and proceed to attain this with their heads contained in the sand? (Do I listen the yank nationwide anthem?) Who all started the ball rolling with massive intake of skill from burning coal, outfitted an empire spanning 0.5 the globe taking their brilliant techniques with them? (dangle on - is that God keep the Queen?) and do not imagine anybody else receives away with it! i imagine you'll locate that maximum international places contained in the international aspire to the dominant u . s . a . on the time, which always is the most ecologically reckless...
