If I started a business I would not wish to wait 1-3 months to be listed. Can you buy a site say in the morning and edit it to your requirments and hove it ready for business by the afternoon?.

Some web hosts will offer a site builder, shopping cart, etc. as part of the deal... you'd be restricted to a template, though, which wouldn't give you a complete match to your desired image. It's the price you pay for a fast turnaround.

In any case, "instant" setup isn't... you'd still need to wait for your DNS entry to propagate ( i.e. your domain wouldn't work everywhere in the first 24-48 hours), and you wouldn't be listed until the search robots came and indexed you.

Yahoo offers a tool to see how well your site has been indexed:

https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/

Rather than rushing things, I'd recommend taking your time to design a site which will last; this means coming up with a URL scheme that will last ( e.g. via mod_rewrite if you choose Apache (Linux) hosting ). It's no good putting up a site quickly, then re-designing it almost straight away, and breaking all your links just as you get into the search engines.

In particular, avoid addresses that end in what technology you happen to be using:

BAD: http://example.com/foo.php
GOOD: http://example.com/pages/foo

This way, you can chop and change how your site is written, without breaking links. Want to re-write in Rails? Not an issue - your users won't notice.

Note that shopping cart software won't let you do this - so you'll unfortunately take a hit if you decide something else is a better fit for your site. However, you can still create some rewrite rules... for example, let's suppose you are using FooBarCart, and its addresses look like:

http://example.com/foobarcart/main.php

You'd want to set up a rewrite rule, so that you could link to:

http://example.com/shop/

and it would point to the cart front page. You would use these links yourself, so if you swapped cart software, you'd just update the rule, and all the links on your site would be fixed.

Secondly, make sure you use a templating system (includes). If you create a ton of static pages, it will bite you later when you want to redesign, or even just change your navigation bar to include a new item.

It's very tempting to get something up quickly, but you will pay for it later on.

i do no longer accept as true with it and there'll continuously be people who spend their money on those issues earlier the necessities. in spite of the undeniable fact that I do think of it relatively is an abuse of human rights and privateness to try this. simply by fact they gets those different non-necessities from someplace. perhaps they'll sell the nutrition they purchase and sell it at a decrease value to purchase the failings they want and function even much less nutrition than earlier. consequently coming up a black marketplace in bartering. susceptible those with addictions would be exploited on the black marketplace and function even much less nutrition. it relatively is greater low priced for the government to pay their money right into a financial employer account. And it relatively is as much as the guy to spend it besides they want. in the event that they do no longer spend it wisely then they might flow to their mothers and dads, friends, or soup kitchens for nutrition. there are lots of back up structures there for individuals who do no longer spend wisely.

if you can make your own website this shouldn't be any problem, just make it & contact a host, they will have it online in just a couple of days, if you cant make a website yourself its a bit harder, since most webdesigners will need a couple of days to make your site.

since im pretty good at webdesigning.. you could pm me for more information :D
