Why is it that we allow oil companies to get so upset that Alberta is raising its revenue? Canada is stable.?

It is not as if there is terrorism, so far in Canada. What is a few measly billion in the state of the world today. We only need the NIgerians to keep kidnapping oil workers to prove my confusion.

Perhaps the oil companies are upset because they had contracts with the Albertan government that seem to be in danger of being arbitrarily changed by sovereign fiat. The sanctity of contracts is something characteristic of Western nations and habitually violated in third-world countries.
