I feel sad to see one of India's most consistent performers sitting out due to perfomance.Dravid dont deserve this.He is a great asset for the team ,he maybe slow but still is the best player to have in the team.

At this time when he is out of form he does need a break....need to get his confidence back, realize his potential by practicing in the nets n home matches. Selfless cricketer like he is but after all its a team sport. If he doesnt perform it cud mean abt 30-70 runs short in a match, that chance can rightly b given to a in form batsman. He is fine player n he certainly will come back. Great batsmen don't remain out of form for long

actually the board selects the players basically on the basis of their appeal to the country..!
the selectors are not confident or strengthfull to take a decision on their own and thus are easily dictated by any third party..!!
but still this time i think the selectors were somewhat correct as they wanted him to prepare him for the tri-series against aussies and lankans..!!
and the option replacing him was only sehwag..
also, while away sehwag has practised a lot and may play better than b4
hope so,..!!

True.
But he has to blame himself for resigning at a wrong time.Right now we cannot have both Tendulkar and Dravid in the ODI team against Pak..We have to give chance to a few youngsters before going to Australia.
But I am sure he will be a certainty in tests and hope he gets back in the one day team to Australia too.

I too feel very bad about dropping Dravid. If selectors had no intention to select him, they should have informed Dravid about the same in advance, so that he would have retired gracefully.

all cricketers out of form should be given a refreshing short vacation ( at their own cost ofcourse) with their family and friends. if needed ranji trophy practice also. media banned from disturbing them.
