I have never been on a blind date. Personally I have nothing against it...like I wouldn't mind going on a blind date with your brother, ms annabelle. What I mean is I'd go out with somebody who is well-known to someone I know (and trust). But if you mean blind date as in someone from the on-line dating service, the answer is NO!

advantages: exciting in the sense that you are meeting someone you know nothing about. curiosity will drive you to actually meet the person amidst the mixed feelings.

disadvantages: the looks is not important but essential lest you'll be put into limelight unexpectedly. You cannot really hide the prying eyes of the people around you which will be uncomfortable.

btw, yeah! i did went for 2 blind dates 9 years ago in Taiwan. Set it on the same day and time but two different places nearby. i have requested photos from both guys (so had an idea somehow). Who ever comes first will be my date. Well, thankfully the guy whom i prefer came earlier so i didnt had the chance to meet the other guy until this blind date became my bf shortly after for 4 years. whew!!

i did a lot of times when i was younger and was in search of "love". Every date is an adventure, not knowing what personality your date will have. The advantage is that both sides know that this is a date with no strings attached. Either it's worth a second date or not. That's it. The disadvantages? It's really awkward when you and your date doesn't click at all even when you both tried to be civil. And it's really frustrating when you have a bore for a date =)

For a grandmother, i would say one should be pro in this phase of life already and, would be equipped with a lot of wisdom to share it to the world.

Well, gathering other people's point of view is another way of looking back to our mistakes and good points all of which, one already learned at his later stage of life. I must ponder, must be the reason.

Speaking for myself, i wouldn't know for a fact because i never experienced this stage of intimacy, or in some cases social endeavors.

Never had the pleasure. Immediately after high school, I went to work. Night classes for college. Then off to the Middle East with me. Never had time for anythin' else but work. Sorry.
