Army of Darkness ending?

I saw the 'S-Mart' ending, but i got up to the last like 10 minutes (just when ash drinks the potion) and then didn't see the ending of the other version, what happened? i heard something about a apocolipse or something? someone explain?

He's supposed to take a few drops of some potion but he
mis-counted & took too many. He climbs out of the cave having slept for years & years to find the world in ruins after the apocolipse.Then shouts out something like "Oh no! I slept too long"
It ends there.

...Anchor Bay Entertainment has released several editions of "Army of Darkness", with the last two or three containing the apocalyptic ending, which you are looking for; if I recall correctly, the most recent was called the 'Boomstick' edition, and this will definitely have the originally intended ending...

...as with the other "Evil Dead" movies, the alternate 'apocalyptic' ending leaves our hapless/clueless hero, Ash, in yet another fix; I really don't want to give it away, as it should be absolutely seen to be believed...

...when Universal Studios picked up the film for general release, and tested it with an identically general audience, the original ending tested badly, and the campy, goody-two-shoes 'S-Mart' ending was quickly shot; however, almost all of the true fans of the "Evil Dead' movies embrace the ending director Sam Raimi originally intended...

...anyways, feel free to give away the points to someone who would have the audacity to spill the beans, before you actually get a chance to see it for yourself...

Actually he was to drink 5 drops and say the words Calatu verada necto....he drank 3 drops said the words wrong and drank 5 more drops and slept in a cave for a few hundred years,

He wakes up covered with hair beside his car in a cave...when he comes out he is in a degenerate run down area in a poor future.
he then cries " I slept too long" The end.
