India and pakistan are not same country but there are small similarities.
Pakistan has punjabis, pashtuns, sindis, baloch and other minorities
About india i know that there are punjabis and sindis but not pashtuns or baloch
pashtuns and baloch are also found in afghanistan and iran.
pakistan and india was under one muslim empire doesnt mean they are one. Even WHOLE INDIA IS NOT ONE. BORDERS CHANGES WITH TIME. I bet before india it was under some other empire.
the most important thing is relegion..pakistani is over 95% muslim while india has muslims but in minority to large majority hindus

They are totally different, with different religions. Yes, the Pakistanis the live close to the India border look Indian, but Pakistanis as a whole look completely different. Even some have green eyes.

The people are not the same. Whilst you are right that India and Pakistan used to be one country actually India (and I assume what is now Pakistan) was a union - a coming together of a wide range of very different countries with different traditons and people who have different characteristics. In general Indian people are less likely to be muslim which is one big difference although there are muslim states in India such as Karnataka (where the people are very different to their neighbours in Goa who are predominantly Hindu or Christian).

Is that really true?
Most white people can't tell the difference - but they are aware of the conflicts between the 2 countries.
