We use flash in our studio purely for the client's inspiration - something to work off of to create a more original piece for the client who cannot decide on exactly what they want or who are unable to get their ideas articulated.
Original design is certainly the way to go.

Flash should only be used as an idea, and then you go from there to make it your own. All of my tattoos, with the exception of some script that I found in a book, are original.

I'm all original, too... including two that I designed myself. Flash is for people who are boring and content to "follow the crowd"... that's NOT what tattoo is about!

From a compatibility attitude there's a actual difficulty with third occasion lenses and different upload-ons that link into the electronics of the digital camera which comprise flashguns and battery grips. Pentax, Canon, Nikon etc do no longer subject the important factors of their working structures. this means that Sigma and something might desire to purchase Canon (etc) products and take them aside (actually and figuratively) to confirm how they paintings. A technique popular as opposite engineering. they do no longer continuously get it appropriate and it takes some defective products out in the marketplace to discover it. in specific Sigma relatively tousled with Canon. They made lenses for EOS action picture cameras and omitted a collection of constructive factors in the Canon lens hardware & firmware that did no longer seem to do something. This became the destiny proofing geared up in by utilising Canon for sending info of focal length and aperture to the digital camera. as a consequence older Sigma lenses will mount on Canon EOS DSLRs yet have very constrained function. some might properly be rechipped by utilising Sigma - some can not. so which you may desire to Pentax - you purchase a Sigma lens/flasggun that works great with your present day physique then you definitely improve in 3-5 years time and ...! on the optical high quality the very terrific Sigma lenses are up there with Pentax, Canon, Nikon top mid variety (ie no longer as good simply by fact the terrific from those manufacturers) however the cost is an identical! So why purchase Sigma? the cheap end Sigma lenses are opticaly ok yet high quality controls is poor - in case you get a competent one then it relatively is sweet. I now 2 people who offered Sigma 10-20mm F/4-5.6 lenses - the two had to return them to Sigma for alternative simply by erroneous automobile concentration. You will pay your money and you takes your decision! in basic terms remember, you may save some $$$ now yet in 3-5 years time you may might desire to spend it throughout lower back.

I draw my own. I translate quotes from songs or authors that mean something to me or mark an event into a different language (so far runes, latin, chinese, english, german) and they usually go w/ a picture that takes me FOREVER to get "just perfect". No flash for me, yeay no flash for you.

All custom designed.
2 were drawn by my best friend.
1 of my text tattoos is in my fiance's handwriting.
My other two text pieces are in my own handwriting.
I will never get flash put on my body.
