Heya,

Just after some advice if anyone can help me please...

My fiance is Catholic, and I am Anglican. We have discussed the future and have decided that after we are married and have kids we will raise them and baptise them as Catholic, and they will attend a Catholic school as my fiance did.

We were wondering though, would it be a problem in the future for our children being recognised by the Catholic church if one parent isn't Catholic? And would it matter if we were married in a non-denominational ceremony? I am not looking to convert religions at this stage...

Thank you!! :o)

That won't be a problem (for the kids, I mean).
My daughter is Eastern Orthodox, and that didn't pose a problem for the local Catholic diocese. (Long story - she's still Orthodox)

If you are willing to convert to Catholic religion, which is a process in it's self. Then you should have no problems in the future.....The question is will you be married catholic ? If not then the Catholic church will not recognize you both as being married. Even though you are married by law it is not catholic law. * Hands in air * Best luck to you !
May God Bless

Catholic church requires you to be married by a Catholic priest or the relationship is classified as 'living in sin.' There's no problem with you not being Catholic, but for the Catholic church to recognize HIS marriage it must be a Catholic marriage.

But Catholicism may have loosened this regulation in the last several years... check with the priest at his church to be sure.

If you ever read your scriptures before - you would see it tells you not to sacrifice your children to the gods and not to sacrifice your children in the fire ...

By giving them to the Great Whore that sits on 7 hills as Revelation puts it ... then tells you that that mind that has understanding will know that the Great Whore is a Great City - and it sits on the seven hills of Rome as any encyclopedia would show ... you should not raise them children in the ways of the great whore - you should repent and live by the scriptures as our Messiah said in Matthew 4:4 ...

You can take most any word from the scriptures and see the Catholic Church refuses to keep it ... if they don't keep it - why would you teach your children to lust for the fires of hell?

Hope this helped.

Peace;
