Zip, my story is much the same as yours. The only thing I didn't get into was hard drugs. like you I realized one day that my life was quickly going down the drain and knew I had to change. With the help of a local church where I was, I got back into church and back into the arms of God. God blessed me by taking away the drinking and the smoking and all the other evils I had let control my life. You see, Zip, what you're not understanding is that God never left you. You left Him. He has been waiting all this time for your return. It is never too late and there is NO sin that our Lord and Savior cannot and will not forgive. Just open your heart and let Him in. He is waiting to welcome you home. And I pray that He will ease your burden of the Bipolar. In Christian love. Prayer Warrior Sarge.

Of course God will come back into your heart. If you read the bible, you'll hear about how Paul (formerly Saul) was one of the worst sinners known to man. He was later redeemed through the blood of Christ, and you can be as well.
It is never too late to reach out to Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness, but you must surrender your life completely to him and put trust into him, and him alone. Much easier said than done!
A few thoughts for you: First, get into a strong bible-based church. There are a lot of churches preaching a very perverted gospel. Make sure you go to a church that believes the following:
1) That the bible is the flawless word of God
2) That Jesus Christ is God the Son, who came to Earth in human flesh, was persecuted, killed, and resurrected in full payment for our sins
3) That through Jesus, and only through Jesus, we are redeemed of our sins so that we may gain eternal life.
Food for thought: Now that you are clean and off drugs. DO NOT associate with any of your past "pro-drug" friends. I worked as an occupational therapy intern at a substance abuse rehab facility, and this was the number one cause of drug relapse.
Surround yourself with people of faith. The more non-believers and secular friends you choose the have, the more difficult your journey will be.
Pray hard, and read the good book often.
I hope this helps. God bless you!

God never cast away a repentant and humble heart. If you are trury sorry for your past mistakes and sins He is ever ready to forgive you. He still is waiting for you to come back home like the prodigal son in the bible. As a good shepherd he will live the 99 good sheeps of His folk and go after the 1 lost sheep.
Mind you God is love and is never happy with a lost soul but more happy with a repetant heart .
Lastly it was never too late even for the thief at the cross, Jesus said to him that trutly or surely he will be with Him in Heaven after he felt srry and repented at the cross.
Keep up the good work,. Go to a bible beliving church and commit yourself regulary to bible study of the word of God to be your daily guide.

There is no sin so great that the blood of Jesus cannot wash
clean. You have to come back to God. He isnt the one who let go of your hand but you let go of His. Find an altar....it doesn't have to be at a church; it can be beside your bed. I f you want to be saved and washed clean of your sins confess to God and ask Him to forgive you. After that live your life in accordance with the teachings of Christ. Pray and meditate on what Christ has done for you, read the Bible and find a good church and attend faithfully. Remember when life gets you down -look up to God.

He already forgave you. Now you, need to forgive, you. God is just like any other Dad. He wants you to be happy. He also knows we are going to screw up and just like any other Dad he helps us get back up, Helps us toddle back off to try again. It is ok. God knows and he doesn`t hold things against us. He understands that we are a natural human with natural thoughts, desires and actions.. He knows we weren`t given a bottle of Instant God Knowledge and a package of Instant Holy the second we got saved. We are a work in progress and he is right there with us. He will never forsake you..
Hang in there and go to church. Go to fifty churches. Find a new one every week. You will find the right one for you.. We are praying for you in Texas...

He will forgive you . we might forsake Him but He never forsakes us. Just cry out to Jesus and He will be there waiting for you to hug you and say welcome home. He is waiting for you and wanting you to make the stand and ask Him back into your life. read the story of the Prodigal Son in Luke and the same way His father welcomed him back home and threw a big party so will your Father in Heaven... next accept Gods forgiveness and ask Him to cover your guilt and take it away and you will be on the right track and will feel much better and tremendously loved..
Luke 15:11–32

oh most definately......all have to do is : ASK and recieve Him. He has been with you all along , and there is a reason you are still here on this earth and that is why you should do something similar to this:
1. get on your knees and thank Him and praise Him and ask Him to forgive you.
2. Ask Him to help you with all your problems and be specific.
3. GET INTO THE WORD.....READ IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
4. get back into church and surround yourself with other believers.
My heart was so very touched with your question and background, and I will be praying for you.

God is speaking to your heart....of COURSE He will come into your heart if you ask Him....He is just WAITING!! He will ALWAYS forgive you if you confess your sins, repent and turn back to Him. (1John1:9) You don't have to get it all perfect before you come back to Him either. I hope that while you are reading this you will STOP and pray right now to Him....and tell Him that you choose Him. He will listen...He has the time. He wants that MORE THAN ANYTHING!! He KNOWS that we are weak and that is why He gave you this promise.......
"My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." ....so claim that for yourself!
I will pray for you to believe what God says and trust that He will help you AND that you will choose Him. Everybody has a past....me included! Sin is sin. Email me if you would like to talk to someone.

Jesus Christ already forgave you, and has paid your debt. He died on the cross. It's been done. To go and continuously keep asking God to forgive you is redundent. A waste of yours, and His time, if you will.
You cannot get to the Father, but through the Son.
It is Christ Himself who you need speak with. No preacher can give you the answers.
