Any soap, including Dove or Olay are going to dry out your skin, plus Olay products tend to cause some people to break out. To be honest, I honestly prefer Softsoap Nutra-Oil when I'm in the shower and Dermatologists don't recommend that you use really hot water. Tepid (lukewarm) water helps keep your skin from drying out, as well. After I use the Softsoap Nutra-Oil on a bath rag or sponge, I rinse my skin in slightly cool water. Then I immediately slather on Neutrogena Body Oil while my body is still wet because it penetrates into your skin better (Neutrogena contains sesame oil because baby oil contains mineral oil which can also dry out your skin to some extent). I give the Body Oil about three minutes or so to soak in as much as possible and before I pat my skin dry. Finally, I gently pat my skin dry with a towel as opposed to taking a towel and briskly rubbing my skin dry which removes too much of the moisture I just put into my skin. This works great on my skin and the Body Oil tends to soak in pretty fast and not leave you feeling greasy, but very soft. Many family doctors do tend to recommend Dove, if you are going to use soap, but it just dries out my skin too much, even though it has cleansing cream in it. You can also want to try some products that are very popular and highly recommended by many Dermatologists, such as using Cetaphil Lotion instead of soap to cleanse your body. Cetaphil has no soap in it but it cleans to the same extent as soap without drying your skin out. For extremely dry skin, you might also try applying a layer of Eucerin Lotion or Cream right before you go bed. Eucerin makes hypoallergenic products, and since I tend to have dry, sensitive skin, I find that their products work very well on my skin. I know that I really didn't give you the answer you were asking for, but alternatives instead, in case you happen to want to give them some consideration. I have gone to see Dermatologists for years and they always seem to know the very best products which are going to work better on my skin type. I hope this is of some help to you, if you happen to find that the Dove or Olay products don't provide quite as much moisture as you would like. Good Luck! :)

Dove. Why? Because it is the only mass produced soap that leaves your skin with the correct acidity level.

Dove, hands down. It is NOT a soap.
It will not dry your skin.
