4 Noble Truths:

1: In birth, death, sickness and all of life there is suffering.
2: The cause of suffering is desire (craving)
3: There is an end to suffering, through an end to want
4: The way to end desire is through the 8 Fold Path.

This was one of his first sermons given by the Buddha. He divided the Noble 8 Fold Path into three sections: Morality (conduct), Mastery of the Mind, and Wisdom that Purifies the Mind. The Noble 8 Fold Path that leads to a release from suffering and therefor from the cycle of rebirth and death (Buddhists belive in reincarnation) is as follows:

Sila (Morality)
1: Right Speech
2: Right Action
3: Right Livelyhood

Samadhi (Mastery of one's own mind)

4: Right Effort
5: Right Mindfulness
6: Right Concentration

Prajñā (Wisdom)

7: Right Thoughts
8: Right Understanding

By mastering the 4 Noble Truths and living the 8 Fold Path, one could clear one's heart and make way for enlightenment. Then upon death, they reach a state of Nirvana, a merging with the Universe. Each life and death cycle is a test trying to prepare us to merge with the Universe, and only by Enlightening ourselves can we be ready for release from the cycle of suffering and rebirth.

it is the nature of life, isn't it?

think, what entertains us? do we watch TV shows about flowers growing, movies about how creeks flow, and play video games in which we plant trees and watch them grow?

no, of course not, because that is boring and contradicts human nature. violence, greed, and suffering are brought upon ourselves lots of the time. God would have to wipe us all out to stop that.

There would be no challenge to life, no learning.

not to say i understand God's will or anything. i don't know why some babies are born and die from miscarriages while others live to be 102. misfortune does strike without provocation. it's rather hard to say.

all the pain, sufferings and the likes are just way of testing us, test is the way for God to know if you your faith is strong and solid, so dont think God is not there his just letting you feel that you can stand on your own to solve all the problem and struggles in life.

I would assume if god existed, he would not interfere with our lives. Any interference would mean freewill did not exist. If there was no suffering or pain, then there would be no point here. Do you really want to live everyday of your life in a Brady Bunch episode?

Free will and consequences. Thats what got Adam and Eve kicked out of the Garden of Eden.
If there were no consequences to our actions what would the point of free will?

Suffering and pain allow a closer union with Christ when you offer it up to Him via His Passion. It allows you to join him in His Passion.

I consider my serious health problem a blessing from the Lord, to bring me closer to Him.

In Humility,
