HOW TO HELP YOURSELF IF YOU ARE DEPRESSED
Depressive disorders make one feel exhausted, worthless, helpless, and hopeless. Such negative thoughts and feelings make some people feel like giving up. It is important to realize that these negative views are part of the depression and typically do not accurately reflect the actual circumstances. Negative thinking fades as treatment begins to take effect. In the meantime:

Set realistic goals in light of the depression and assume a reasonable amount of responsibility.
Break large tasks into small ones, set some priorities, and do what you can as you can.
Try to be with other people and to confide in someone; it is usually better than being alone and secretive.
Participate in activities that may make you feel better.
Mild exercise, going to a movie, a ballgame, or participating in religious, social, or other activities may help.
Expect your mood to improve gradually, not immediately. Feeling better takes time.
It is advisable to postpone important decisions until the depression has lifted. Before deciding to make a significant transition change jobs, get married or divorced discuss it with others who know you well and have a more objective view of your situation.
People rarely "snap out of" a depression. But they can feel a little better day-by-day.
Remember, positive thinking will replace the negative thinking that is part of the depression and will disappear as your depression responds to treatment.
Let your family and friends help you.

I believe trying to go see a psychiatrist. They are skilled more than a family doctor. I know people out there don't believe in medications, but me myself I do. I feel if you have depression something isn't right and there are medications out there that are made to help you. I for one just got diagnosed Bipolar after being misdiagnose with only depression for four years. They put me on the right medications and I am seeing hope to getting my life back. The hardest part is finding which medication you need and works best for your body. Medication may not be right for you it isnt the answer for everyone but I wanted to share my experiences. I wish you the best and hope you find any way t get yourself happy.

Dealing with depression is best solved with a combination of psychotherapy and meds. I know as researching the issue and because I am currently going through this.

There is no easy overnight cures for these feelings as depression does not start that way.

See a psychologist and check with your MD, they will work with you to get your treatment started and get the right medicine to you.

Don't be discouraged as there is help and we do get better. Just remember it takes some time and a committment by you to follow through on making your life better. There may be times that you may not feel like things are moving along as they should, but remember depresssion does not go away overnight. EVEN THOUGH WE WISH IT COULD.

You are not alone in your feelings, you would be amazed how many of us are going through the same thing you are.

HANG IN THERE AND KNOW THAT BETTER DAYS ARE AHEAD IF YOU START YOUR TREATMENT RIGHT AWAY.

are you self-diagnosed or diagnosed by a doctor? if you got anger with depression you're definitely bipolar i think....go to a doctor ASAP. go take a hot shower and play some acoustic music and just try to clear your mind. do whatever that makes you happy. talk to your family and friends about it, they'll support you. it's hard to deal with anger and depression especially if it's a never ending thing with certain levels of both things...watch a comedy movie/show. stand up comedy is great to make you snap back into a good mood! watch some dane cook on youtube or maybe go to comedycentral.com and look at the videos...just do whatever that makes you totally okay with who you are and your life. you definitely need to go to a doctor very soon though. do not lower yoruself to start drinking, smoking, cutting, or anything that goes in those categories. stay strong. i know it's hard but you have to keep your head up high even if there is tears running down. in my opinion...people with disorders that actually try to telll themselves they can be strong are the ones who do the best with coping....i hope it works out for you. i know it sucks, but you gotta hang in there.
