I might be buying a ps3 I just want to know everything i can about it so i know what to do once i get it.
For each version can you explain what the difference is from the normal ps3.

I chose to write here because you are the best people that could explain.

There are:
1). 20GB version (has no wi-fi and memory slots) - not available anymore.
2). 60GB version (almost sold out, won't be manufactured anymore)
3). 80GB version
4) 40GB version (no memory slots, only 2 USBs instead of 4, PS2 games can't be played)

All versions have Cell processor (7+1 kernels), RSX video chip, Blu-ray drive, Ethernet, Bluetooth, USBs, Media Server function, child lock, etc.

There is one major difference between PAL and NTSC versions of 20GB and 60GB models. NTSC has great backwards compatibility (in addition to everything those models have PS2's CPU - Emotion Engine). Almost all of old games can be played. PAL versions don't have that chip - they use software emulation to run old games - less games supported (around 80%).

Japanese versions have extra online feature (works in Japan only).
