On some things. Not everything. You need to know what you're shopping for and the regular price to determine if it's a good deal.

Another thing: you probably won't find the selection in an outlet that you would in a regular store.

Also: SOME stores (I can't speak for Gap because I never worked there, nor do I know anyone who worked there) sell "seconds" at their outlets. These are either very slighty damaged, or otherwise imperfect - the color it came out wasn't the one they wanted or something like that. Some stores just sell last season's "leftovers", and some sell what's left after the big-name store buyers pick what they want to stock. (Let's say if a designer makes 3000 of an item for Lord & Taylor, but L&T only wants 2500, that left over 500 goes to the outlet.)

My advice: don't go to the Commons with a set item in mind. (I *MUST* have these jeans, in that wash, blah blah.) because you'll probably end up disappointed. If you go with an open mind of "let me see what basics the Gap outlet has that I can stock up on" or something like that, chances are, you'll come out with some good deals.

Yeah it is because the Gap at Woodbury is an outlet and has many, many deals but has a very LONG line when paying.

yeah it is way cheaper, I went there a couple of years ago and got a stunning top for $3 and then saw it in a gap in the UK a couple of months later for £29.99 (approx $50) aaaamaaaazing!! Not sure how much cheaper it is in comparison to the streets of NY but will def be cheaper i am sure as it is an outlet store - only problem is most of the stock is past seasons but if its essentials (jeans etc) your after it is much better!!

Its a great place to shop!!

Yes it it because it is an outlet store. But don't expect the same product there as in the regular Gap. Most retail companies (I work for one so I know) have separate lines of cloths specifically designed for their outlet stores. They carry more of the basic items like jeans, Polo's, t-shits and sweaters.

You'd be just as well off going to any Gap Outlet store. (Or Old Navy since they owned by the same company)
