was the "first" of all angels! Did that put him above Jesus, the son of God at that time, or had Jesus' angelic form not been created yet? And if Jesus was the "only" son of God, just who were the "Son's of God" in Genesis who found the "daughters of men to be good and took them as wives" ?? Please, no attacks by Christians, I am one myself! I just want to see if someone comes up with an answer as close to my cousin's, as he is a preacher.

Ok! I added this: Part of The Nicene Creed.
We believe in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man, and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father. And he shall come again with glory to judge both the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end.
Begotten means: 1. (esp. of a male parent) to procreate or generate (offspring).

Atheist here to thank you for correctly using Lucifer instead of the Greek god Satan.

Applause, applause. It's so rare.

Where in the Bible does it say that Lucifer was the first of the angels? It doesn't.

The name Lucifer occurs once in the Scriptures and only in some versions of the Bible. For example, the King James Version renders Isaiah 14:12: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!”

The Hebrew word translated “Lucifer” means “shining one.” The Septuagint uses the Greek word that means “bringer of dawn.” Hence, some translations render the original Hebrew “morning star” or “Daystar.” But Jerome’s Latin Vulgate uses “Lucifer” (light bearer), and this accounts for the appearance of that term in various versions of the Bible.

The expression “shining one,” or “Lucifer,” is found in what Isaiah prophetically commanded the Israelites to pronounce as a “proverbial saying against the king of Babylon.” Thus, it is part of a saying primarily directed at the Babylonian dynasty. That the description “shining one” is given to a man and not to a spirit creature is further seen by the statement: “Down to Sheol you will be brought.” Sheol is the common grave of mankind—not a place occupied by Satan the Devil. Moreover, those seeing Lucifer brought into this condition ask: “Is this the man that was agitating the earth?” Clearly, “Lucifer” refers to a human, not to a spirit creature. Isaiah 14:4, 15, 16.

Jesus is God's only-begotten Son. (John 3:17) At Col. 1:15, he is called "the firstborn of every creature," meaning he was the first creature made. Jehovah had many other heavenly sons, many of whom "forsook their own proper dwelling places," and came to earth and had sex with human females. (Jude 6; Gen. 6:2)

As many have already said Jesus was God not an angel, he created Lucifer along with everything in the heavens and on earth.

John 1
The Eternal Word
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend[a] it.

As for the sons of God. They are speaking of fallen angels

Genesis 6
The Wickedness and Judgment of Man
1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
3 And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive[a] with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” 4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

You have to recognize that words are often used in the Bible, and elsewhere, in more than one way.

Jesus is the Son of God in a unique way. He is not created. He is divine. He is above all angels.

Beyond that, anyone created directly by God, rather than being born, is refered to as a son of God. This includes Adam the first man, and angels. The rest of us become sons and daughters of God once we place our trust in Jesus, since that is the time at which we join the family of God.

It is the second definition of son that applies here. The sons of God referred to in the passage in Genesis are a group of fallen angels who take on human form and take human wives to mate with and produce offspring.

Lucifer is just a fallen angel, a created being. In his prefallen state he was the annointed cherub who covers, whatever that means.

Jesus is God one with God the father and no Lucifer was never above God he was thrown out of heaven for wanting to be/ I think the sons of God in the genesis context must have meant angels but it is not clear.

Jesus is not an angel. Jesus is God. The sons of God in genesis were true believers in God and followers of God - the daughters of men were women who came from families that did not know or obey God.

the devil is a angel
he was created for worship of God

Jesus is the SON of GOD
He was created to be the CHRIST, MESSIAH, SAVIOR, REDEEMER, TEACHER, HEALER, DELIVERER. MASTER, WORD OF GOD, LILLY OF THE VALLEY, HELPER, SALVATION, ANOINTED ABOVE ALL, BEGINNING AND THE END, THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND SO MUCH MORE......

so, this tells us that He was created first...for He is the beginning...
" the son's of God" they were angels that looked upon these women...and google this..it is shocking

It amazed me when I saw this evidence of this happening...
strange it is..but true....

Good question
