What is the only song to climb to number 1 on the charts at least one time in 5 consecutive decades. Each time it was the original artist and recording. and still has a chance until 2010 to make it 6 in a row????? I will post the answer here if nobody finds the answer.

RO VALE was close and might be on the right track, but it's not White Christmas. Happy birthday has made the charts but not by the same artist each time.

This probably isn't quite the right answer since this is a Christmas song but Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" has made it to #1 on the Christmas charts at least once every decade since the 1940s.
