I am in the 5th of 6 rounds of chemo and I am suddenly very itchy everywhere. There is no yeast infection or any infection. Benedryl does not help. There is no redness anywhere. All surgical areas have healed. I have just started itching in the last 5 days. What can I do, if anything to stop the itching?

When my mom was in chemo we got her some over the counter anti-itch medicines. They didn't completely take the itch away but they did make it a little more bearable. Hope this helps....

Aspirin or Ibuprofen help to calm down itching. (Itching seems to be telling the nerves it's a form of pain)
I was recently in conversation with a nurse who told me which vitamin/mineral , when lacking causes intense itching.
I'm sorry, but can't remember just which one that is

That's a good one to ask your Dr. or pharmacist.

if your skin is dry and flaky just rub in sorbulene (white cream stuff).
