Most people do not excel at everything. You may be setting yourself up for disappointment when you think that you can excel all over the place.
I do have some study tips for you that should make things easier.
1. Have all of your materials ready and in the place that you are going to study.
3. Study when its quiet. No music, no TV, No headphones, no nothing.
4. Do your most difficult subject fist or else you may never get to it.
5. Keep a calendar so that you know when a project is due or a test is going to be given.
6. Vocabulary is very important. Words have different meanings. You need to know the meaning for the subject that you are taking.
7. Study the relationship of things. How is the topic that you studied related to the unit that you are studying?
8. Your textbook has hints for you. Many books have important words or phrases in darkened or colored type, make sure that you know them thoroughly.
The sites below are excellent and will give you many other ideas about studying.

I am the same way, even when I get an A, I beat myself up because I didn't get a higher A. I spend my time obsessing and I put so much effort into my work, when I don't get that perfect, I get depressed because I know just how hard I worked! Then when I do get the perfect, I feel kind of a let down, because I am already worrying about the next test. It is such a fine line between caring, and caring to much. I find I do better without the last minute studying though, because it seems for me I just confuse myself and get all psyched out right before the test. I would suggest stuying a little everyday, and though it is hard, just try not to get down, because it will only make it harder to study for the next test. My husband has skated through school and college with B's and C's in most classes, but it never bothered him. He cares more about the grades in the classes that have a direct connection to his chosen career. He has a B average overall, only because his few good grades managed to balance out his bad ones, and the job offers are already rolling in because he does so well in the classes that matter! I mean, if you are trying to be a psychologist, and you do horrible in your Art Appreciation class, does it really matter?

One low grade won't have you working at McDonalds. Relax. Worst case scenario, if you do bad in that class you can retake the class for a better grade if you want. By doing this, if you retake the class and get a better grade it will negate the intial grade (the new grade will be figured into your GPA and the other omitted)

Don't believe me?
Go listen to Steve Jobs, Commencement Speech at Stanford: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60cDHb-tvMA
Best speech I've ever heard. He tells the worthlessness of Higher Education in regard to Apple Computer...and the importance of living life with acute scrutiny.
PS - Any job is a great opportunity to limitless opportunity if you give it your best, and perfect the method each day, just a little.
You'll aspire to leadership. Have you not seen the pay of McDonald's Board of Directors lately?
Rise to the top!
Responsibility gravitates to excellence...ALWAYS. Money seeks value, regardless of time, location or beliefs.

Believe it or not, I can tell just by your Question- that you have NOTHING to worry about. How? Because your Question is already better "asked" -than 3/4s of those who ASK questions on this Site, & most of THOSE have already been through College. So STOP WORRYING, relax- & keep on doing your Best in your Studies... The BEST "Success Stories..." -are made by those who Believed in THEMSELVES & what they were doing... Good luck! :)

When you were small and learning to walk you fell down a lot more than you walked. In the back of your mind you were scared at first, but more determined as you went along. You focused on standing and putting ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER--not on five steps from now or tommorrows steps. You are where hundreds of thousands of people have been before, and those that wanted to, succeeded. Relax-Take one step at a time and you will walk across that stage.

well, I got very good grades in high school, but then failed out of college and had to work at a Wendy's to pay rent. It was actually more fun than college. Everything works out in the end.

look i live in greece so i had to comfront an absolutley different educational system but some things tend to be the same worldwide... the philosophy that helped me most in my life and it seems to help most people is that everyone is good at something and if you find that something you are good at you can do it succesfully..BUT the trick is that the thing that make people good at something is LIKE what they do if you like what you do (or what you study) you are good at it if you are good at it you are successfull too..simple as that...picture yourself working ten years from now and think of the one thing you do so you get up every morning going to work with a smile! if you study that you won't have to woory about bad grades...there won't be any and the thing will work itself out.. trust me

I have always had good grades, my secret....do all the homework. Homework is of extreme value when it comes to taking tests. You will be fine. You are motivated and young. Also, regular excersice, if you don't already do it, can clear your mind for school work.
