There is absolutely no justification for the inhumane
treatment of any person in the custody of the United States.
We have always prided ourselves on the professionalism of our soldiers. This abuse is counter to every principle of decency we Americans hold dear.
Any true American is deeply ashamed by these outrages.

Boo! Hoo! Another Political RANT!

Prisoners of War captured in war during and out of combat are required to be wearing a recognizable uniform that Identifies then as combatants.

How many prisoners taken by the terrorists are afforded treatment listed under the Geneva Convention?

Is the beheading or throat slitting of unarmed soldiers and captives allowed under the rules of Prisoners of War??

You seem to have very little consideration to the victims of terror who were not afforded any pretense of being prisoners;

Example: Passengers on the flights Hi-Jacked on 9/11

Well, it seems they all have their heads so I guess they're doing alright right? Who would you rather be captured by, us or them? Personally, I would rather be them and get captured by us because having a bag over my head or a mask on my face is actually nothing compared to getting shot, burned alive and drug through the streets by a truck then hung from my neck on a bridge over the street. I'll take the bag. Which, actually, the people serving in the military go through worse treatment than these prisoners. Pick a fight worth fighting because your glass holds no water.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worse than war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made so and kept so by the exertions of better men than him.

If hajji wants to play, then he will pay. If you look at those pictures, they are old as hell. I think at the beginning of the war, no one cared about masks covering the entire head. But, don't worry, the masks that hajji gets on their faces, they can breath just fine. Maybe instead of trying them in front of military tribunals, we should let the prisoners be their own jury. Interrogations should be optional, and if makes them uncomfortable then we should stop. My opinion is why do we follow the Geneva convention when these guys don't follow it? Why are you supporting these douches that probably did something stupid in order to find themselves in that position. It sounds to me that you just want to protest just to protest, maybe if you hippies picked your battles a little better, someone might actually respect what you have to say. Limit your Geo metro to maybe 6 impeach bush stickers and 3 "Vegan army" stickers. Mention that to Al gore for me at you drum circle.

and as far as WMDs go, the problem was that saadam wouldnt let weapons inspectors in. Because of his history with chemical weapons, I think that was a reasonable assumption.

Be careful with propaganda sites that claim to know everything about the U.S.'s policies and procedures. I see no torture in those photos. embarrassment and discomfort? yes.
But the fact is that Gtmo is not governed by the Geneva Convention (look it up, and not on sites like that).

It is not in the U.S. (although Gtmo is "U.S. soil"), and yes they can hold those people for extended periods of time. They do not have U.S. Constitutional rights, and they are not part of the Geneva Convention, as I've said.

And no, the masks are not preventing them from breathing.

Where were all the whiny, weak spined, lily livered liberals like you when OUR troops were marched down city streets in chains receiving abuse from the people, confined to bamboo cages where they could not even stand up, beaten daily for minor infractions, having their fingernails ripped out, teeth broken, bones fractured...that's REAL torture.
Making someone who would MURDER the guards, who throw feces and food on the guards UNCOMFORTABLE is not torture.
Those 'people' you feel sorry for are treated better than some of our own U.S. citizens. They have a tropical home, air conditioning, free medical and dental, free food, their own chaplain, free holy books, free counselling....on and on.
Those 'people' who you feel sorry for would just as soon slit your throat and your whole family as look at you.
You know nothing civilians who fall for the liberal propaganda are PATHETIC! Where were you when allied civilians were being tortured and murdered by the PEACE LOVING MUSLIMS who even TAPED the murders? Did you raise a cry then? NOPE..you were more interested in watching those brainless 'reality' shows....
Those 'people' you feel sorry for have comrades back home who MURDER innocent people by blowing them up indiscriminately. What they do there would be like some Methodists going to a mall and blowing up a bunch of people in hopes of killing some Baptists. Those 'people' you feel sorry for would do that themselves!
You think we should just send them home? If they (like that murderer, who took part in the slaughter of 17 young men and women on the USS COLE, Yemen set free) PROMISE to not do it anymore?
HA!
Get your head outta your hind parts and open your eyes.

Lets see there not one of those so called POW's were in a military uniform so were within our rights to exacute them as spies will that suit you better.

We are not fighting soldiers, soldiers have honor, we are fighting terrorists what ever we do or anti American Liberals claim we do these guys deserve it and much worse. Terrorists are not human beings hence the term human rights due not apply to them.

Oh yeah AND GOD BLESS AMERICA LAND THAT I LOVE

First of all, the people you see are not members of a military force, with uniforms or hailing their loyalty to the government of a nation; so they are not prisoners of war; they are terrorists who hail to no nation or government, but to an ideology.

As for the masks and goggles; is far better treatment than what American hostages have received by the hands of people like Al-Zarkawi and Khalid Sheik Mohammed, who had beheaded the following hostages:

1) Shosei Koda - Japanese contractor killed in Iraq
2) Kim Sun-il - South Korean engineer killed in Iraq
3) Kenneth Bigley - British engineer killed in Iraq
4) Nick Berg - American businessman killed in Iraq
5) Eugene Armstrong - American contractor killed in Iraq
6) Jack Hensley - American engineer killed in Iraq
7) Maher Kemal - Turkish Contractor killed in Iraq
8) Paul M. Johnson - American Contractor killed in Saudi Arabia
9) Fabrizio Quattrocchi - Italian Security Guard killed in Iraq.
10) Danierl Pearl - American journalist killed in Pakistan

The way we treat POWs or Enemy combatants or terrorists is nothing compared to how they treat our prisoners; so STFU and quit your belly-aching. You bleeding-heart liberals are all alike.

The masks are so they can't see, it's about control and breaking their will to fight. You don't give a POW the niceties of civilian life. You make their life uncomfortable. You don't make things easy.

THE MASKS DON"T STOP THEM FROM BREATHING THEY STOP THEM FROM SPITTING.

STFU you pansy. Yes that is how we treat them. We cover their precious little eyes so they can't see what we are doing and plot on how to escape---

we cover their precious little terrorist Mouth so they don't spit and bite.

You are such a tool.
