renal ultrasound was normal. blood flecks still showing up in urine frequently, but preliminary tests for blood showed nothing.
Can food allergies cause this?

I'm not sure what "preliminary tests " you would be talking about and I am definitely not a doctor. Have they done blood work? Blood specks in urine is commonly a sign of a bladder or kidney infection and I would have assumed that those would have been the first things that they would have tested for. If they haven't, you should ask for it. As for allergies, that is not a usual symptom. In the health care industry you often need to keep pushing to get answers so don't be uncomfortable to do just that. Good Luck.

This is not food related. You did the right thing in seeing a doctor, and if it persists further investigation may be warranted.
