I would call your pharmacist and ask about side effects. Upper leg pain can be deferred pain from kidneys or bladder. I would also recommend you call the prescribing physician. A health professional has to look at the whole picture to really have an idea of what is going on and if you should be concerned about it.

This has the possibility of being something urgent and serious. It could also be less serious. Answer these questions.

Is it getting difficult to breathe?
Getting any swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat?
If either of these is a YES.........it's a 911 call in the next minute, as this particular reaction hits hard and fast.

Get infront of a mirror. In full light look for either raised bumps or large reddish patches of skin. Check your face, chest and back, arms, and legs back and front. Look in the area of your new pain. Do you see anything out of the ordinary? Are you feeling itching as well as pain?
If you have a rash of bumps, spots, or red patches of skin,
CALL your Dr., Hospital Emergency Room, or poison control or an all night pharmacy -- be sure to tell them about your pain -- ............FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS.

It would likely take an experienced Dr. to tell if your pain is connected to the medication you were prescribed. Reactions to antibiotics can be minor, or they can hit fast and be serious. Better safe than sorry.
