He left the multitudes to be alone with the Father. He spent time with Mary, Martha, Lazarus and the disciples. I think that was His preference.

But He came to seek and save the lost, so He spent time with sinners - and He was remarkably gentle with them.

He was toughest on the religious leaders of the day because of their hypocrisy. If they had been faithful, or willing to be obedient, He would have loved to spend time with them.

Jesus did not, however, perpetually continue in the company of unreachable, unrepentant sinners. There were some who turned away, and He didn't chase after them.

You forgot the Gentiles, and the lepers.
BTW, John the Baptist (in the loosest meaning of the term) WAS a baptist minister.

He didn't prefer any company he loved/loves everyone equally.
But there wasn't many reasons to try and save the Priest..he was already saved.
He hung with the lowest people on the Earth for they needed salvation and forgiveness.

The chosen people over the Non Jews "Dogs".

(Matt 10:5-6)--- Jesus sent out these 12 after giving them instructions: "Don't take the road leading to other nations, and don't enter any Samaritan town. Instead, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

(Matthew 15:24) He (Jesus) replied, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
