Because they think it's their job to determine how everyone else should live. I personally think it's ridiculous. If their god was really so loving, he wouldn't feel the need to send people to hell that have never even heard of him.

We Christian people are asked through the bible teaching to help spread the message of Jesus Christ being the savior of the sinful world. Unless, and until all the people of the world, even at the ends of the earth, get a chance to hear, Jesus won't be able to bring the whole church home. The world was created by God, the people put up the country boundaries. As for "convert": that's how the uncommitted see it. I see it as a chance of a life time to accept the gift.

Come on, wrong is wrong. Forcing people to convert at the point of a sword is nothing new...you don't honestly think that Arab traders (and Arab SLAVE traders) 'convinced' Africans, Indonesians, Filipinos and millions of others to become Muslims without using force? Or that Shinto/Buddhist Japanese soldiers haven't slaughtered hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of Chinese and Koreans because they were thought of as 'lowly' or 'sub-human' even though most Asians are also Buddhist? Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it...it's not just Christians who do it. Read some history. No, read a LOT of history. Until we learn the lessons of the past, we are doomed to repeat past mistakes.

Most religions preach compassion...ironic, ain't it, that compassion, acceptance and forgiveness are forgotten by the proselytizers.

And I'd like to ask any Jehovah's Witnesses out there not to knock on my door any more on the weekend: I'll be naked.

I am reading a book that touches on that subject - "Power, Faith & Fantasy" - it is about how America has been involved in the Middle East since the Pilgrims landed practically. Many of the people who were fleeing Europe because of religious persecution, even though they were Christian, identified with the Jews and thought of soon-to-be America as a new Zion to be claimed like the Jews would claim Israel one day. Many thought that it was their mission to go to the middle east and convert the Jews to Christianity in order to reclaim Jerusalem, and they thought that they should also try to convert other religions while they were there. THey felt it was their duty to spread not only their ideas of religion, but also the American ideals of democracy and religious freedom (ironic I know).

Christians are actually not persecuted in Islamic international places. There are Christians residing there. Are you somewhat going to take the "Voice of the Martyrs" internet site heavily? Lol. besides, that's like asking Germans why Jews have been executed or asking Christians why abortion clinics have been blown up. you would be unable to ask those form of inquiries to those who've not something to do with what you're asking.

Why do americans give up their faith for others? why do we have muslim baths in airports and not the ten commandments?

If this is what you desire- If you hate Jesus that much- If it just bothers you that much- just wait cause the one that you serve will soon appear...

He is getting ready...He will bring to you the answers that you want ..he will send the rain and halt the winds...he will lend and he will not take..he will bring to you all the harmony that you desire...He will rid the world of us christians that make u are so sick of...yeah he will issue it a crime...you can recieve his mark so that you can buy and sell.

laugh now and cry later...cause then you will see the one that you are serving is not the truth..he will kill and destroy you. He is getting ready,...he will come for you....so ,you will get what you desire.....

I pray that we go to the ends of the earth and all over america. Soon we will be the North american union.
search and you will find the truth if you want to be set free from the lies..if not then go ahead..God will not force you..but the one that you are serving he will force you to take his mark...go ahead if you desire it,,,,,,don't worry christians will be gone soon and very soon..all religions believe their avatr, their great teacher , the ennam , their christ , all are looking ...are you?

I am ..and I know who it will be.....JESUS CHRIST

TO: joe
Oh, yeah like dying for the sins of the world, yours included, isn't courteous enough!
And I'm sure it is really "impolite" of Him to want NONE to parish and ALL to have everlasting life, right?
To: Asker
Us Christians not only think it's ok, we think it's our purpose in life to go into ALL the world, which includes other countries fyi, and make disciples.

It is a comendment of our Lord & God Jesus Christ In Mat. 28:19&20 go ye therefore & teach all nations Baptizing them in the name Of the Father& of the Son & of the Holy Spirit. We go out to teach, It is the Holy Spirit that converts. We seek only the lost sheep & if some become wise they too may come & drink of the water. I would rather offend man by telling him the truth than offend God by not doing it. Amen!!!!

I've been on a missionary trip to Romania. While there, we build three homes, each capable of supporting about 25 homeless children. There are still over 50,000 homeless children in Romania. Those kids should continue to be homeless, get no education, steal or beg (or worse, like prostitute themselves) for a living? Sorry, but I'll go anywhere they will let me go and do whatever I can, and share the GOOD NEWS along the way. If you don't approve, that is your opinion, but it will not stop me!

It is a command of God to "Go ye therefore into the world baptizing then in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit... In other words, teach them Christianity. There is only one way to salvation, and that one way is through Jesus and what He accomplished. How can one learn of something he has never been taught? It is an effort to bring others to faith in God and to salvation.
