it's a sin to be gay right?

what if those people are proven to be born that way? would that mean God made a mistake in creating human beings, or would it mean God actually made them sexually attracted to the same sex, OR would it just mean the bible was lying when it said God made homosexuality a sin?

and if God made the mistake of making humans gay, would that mean he is actually not as perfect as you think?

most people who are pediphils and murderers do have something wrong wtih them, so i would accept them being born with it yes, however i do believe they should be "cured" because what they do is harmful, being gay is not harmful to anyone.

When I was a Christian I would argue that some sins cause "generational sins" So someone in your family sinned and this sin altered their DNA and made you gay. :) lol. It would take 10 generations of living properly before you could be relieved of your gay gene.

That's just wierd.

Now I still believe in God but I believe the bible has altered the concept of God to benefit only certain people.

God is for everyone. I don't believe God is hurt or cries or wants to throw you in a room full of fire because you sin. I just don't think that's true.

I also don't think what is right for one is necessarily right for all. I think everyone should go into a quiet room and focus on what is good? What is right? What is love? What is peace. What things will benefit the world as a whole? How can we save humanity? Can everyone live in peace without killing each other?

Think about features you think a perfect being would have. Eventually you might start to feel God. You might start to feel good about the world around you. You might even start coming up with answers to problems you previously felt were impossible. With God (the true God) anything is possible (even the impossible).

Well that is a problematic question. You see, those of us who believe the bible do not believe you will ever be able to prove to us that God made people be born Gay and then turned His back on them.
Contrary wise, most of those who believe that being gay is genetic flaw, would then not believe in God or the bible because to do so would be a horrible equation. Therefore they would have no reason to believe in the bible anymore, if they did to begin with.

If people are born gay they still have a choice whether or not to BE gay.
Just like, straight people are only suppose to have sex within the confines of marriage and Christians are supposed to marry only someone who shares their spiritual beliefs. Even though they have a sex drive, doesn't mean they have to go out and have sex. We have a choice in all we do.

The Bible tells us what pleases and displeases God at 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10: "What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, **nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men**, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. "
The Bible goes on to say in verse 11: "And yet **that is what some of YOU were**. But YOU have been washed clean, but YOU have been sanctified, but YOU have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God."

The *'s were added by me for emphasis. We are more than animals. We don't have to give into our desires just because they might exist.

In theory, God made humans in His image. But it was humans who came up with all the myriad systems of classification--gay, straight, black, white, etc. There are too many systems at play her...social restrictions on sexual and gender "norms", human production and interpretation of the Bible, heteronormative sexuality, compulsory heterosexuality, etc. So many systems are at play in Western society that tell us what is "normal" and what is "abnormal," what is "right" and what is "wrong." Yet, despite being created (in theory) by God, these are all determined by these humans. The answer to your question rests in your own belief system, and everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

God already made a mistake. According to the Bible, he caused the Flood because he regretted making everything.

No. We straight people always think there is something wrong with gays because they are different but in actuallity there is nothing wrong with them. There is a lot of variation in the universe, they are just one.

this is not a realistic question. It will Never be "proven" that you are born gay. Because God did not make us that way He says it is a sin! Period!

What if it's proven that people can be genetically born murderers and pedophiles...would you then support their actions redefined as a "lifestyle preference"?

Would you find it abhorrent that some of these people sought to be "cured"?

No it would finally prove to the world how truly homophobic and racist some American Christians are. Jesus Christ said "Love One Another As I Love You". This is why I and very few people in the world still tolerate Americans.
